Well, folks, it looks like those rumors we were hearing
about a possible Friends reunion had some merit. According to this article, Lisa Kudrow acknowledged that
a reunion was in the works, but one of the guys turned down the offer. She didn't specify which, but she made a point of
saying that it was one of the guys, not Jennifer Aniston, as the prevailing scuttlebutt had stated. Hmm...
wonder who turned the offer down? I bet it was Schwimmer; he always seemed to be the one who wanted to do anything
other than act.[via Pop Candy]

It could have been Matt Perry, since he's the one whose going to be working full-time with Arron Sorkin on the new project. I'd be surprised if David said no because he's the only one not working right now.

Maybe without Ross there it'll make the show a little more enjoyable.

Hard to pick.
Schwimmer doesn't seem like a 'I wanna continue this show guy' nor 'I wanna act' if you have read his interviews in Friends books he is a 'I prefer the theatre, the politics there are so much better' and 'Why ruin the show?'
I can say after Joey, its hard not to tarnish the name of Friends.
Matt LeBlanc may have crawled into a hole now, after Joey, and it would make sense for Joey not to be there!
Matthew Perry has signed to the NBC project but that gives me more reason to believe he would have to sign, working for NBC again.

I have a theory-
What if Joey was kept alive so that they could do a Friends Reunion episode? The show would get its best numbers since the pilot.
When the show fell through, that probably axed it.
I really do expect to see a Friends reunion down the line, but its a little too soon.

It was probabally Schwimmer, and I think he was right to do it. Reunion shows are lame.

i second the Matthew Perry nomination. I'll bet he wants to distance himself from Chandler because of his role on Studio 60. At the same time, i wouldn't be too surprised if Matt LeBlanc is anxious to separate himself from the character of Joey after the spinoff failed as well.

Who really cares? It was a lame show in the first place with lame actors who were too much up on themselves from the start. I never watched the show when it was on prime time and don't watch any reruns. Now if you were talking about "Charmed" I would be all over that show. What beautiful Ladies and a more lively plot to each show. My Babes rule, totally....ED

How do u know the show is lame if u never watched it? would love to see one but know that all other reunion shows have been crap so wouldnt want to ruin friends good name. the season finale was great and we should just leave it at that. i think a spinoff with monica and chandler in the 'burbs would have been better then joey.

I think some of these smart aleck answers are uncalled for. I thought the acting was good and felt that I knew each and every one of the actors as the people they portrayed. The show was funny and fun. I'm sorry one of the actors has refused to do a reunion because for those of us who really loved the show, its a slap in the face. We are the fans and we deserve to be treated with the same respect we showed the actors when the show was on the air. I couldn't wait for 5:30 every week night to watch these people bring their everyday lives into our living room.

I guess I'm the only person in the world that liked "Joey." But in case I'm not, I want the others out there to know you are not alone. By the way, David Schimmer is about to be in a remake of "The Caine Mutiny" on Broadway.

WELL, IF PUSH COMES TO SHOVE...MY GUESS WOULD BE JOEY...WHY YOU ASK WELL ON TWO SHOWS HE PLAYED AN AIR HEAD, INNOCENT, GULLIBLE AND ANNOYING AT TIMES, JOEY. YOU COULD CALL IT TYPE CAST AND THIS IS HOW HE IS. TO GET BETTER PARTS HE MUST GROW UP (in his role)AND PICK HIS SHOWS BETTER. TYPE CAST AS A MORON CAN'T GET TOO MANY JUICY ROLES. I DON'T BLAME HIM. I AGREE WITH THE COMMENT THAT CHANDLER AND MONICA COULD HAVE BEEN GREAT IN THE BURBS.MY OPINION, PEOPLE..PAUL

What is that supposed to mean - that David Schwimmer "always seemed to be the one who wanted to do anything other than act?" Are you kidding me? His comedic timing was impeccable, and his expressions and reactions alone made me laugh out loud. And who cares which one doesn't want to do a reunion show? Throughout the show, the actors made their decisions with everyone on board, so why change that philosophy now? And, unless they were going to do periodic reunion shows every couple years (which might be cool), it seems a little early to do one now. Regardless, even if the standard cheese factor that comes with reunion shows was there, I think Friends' fans would still enjoy it.

I loved Joey, and Friends, and a reunion would be great. I don't think that anyone who didn't like Friends is normal. Seeing them wouldn't make me not like their new shows, just make me want to watch them more.

I do think it's too soon for a reunion show. Although I miss the show alot- and still watch the reruns whenever I can. I wanted to like the show Joey- I just think he needs to approach it in a different way. I hope they don't give up on him. It's nice to have one of them around as "themselves".
I agree...
-Great idea on Monica and Chandler's spin off show- that might have worked...
-Ross CAN act- he did have good timing and expressions.
I miss the show- and everyone on it- you were like one of them....

My first thought was "Reunion show? Way too soon for that". It sounds like one of the guys had the guts to go "Ya know, I don't think that'll work right now". I'm excited to see one though in a couple of years.

FRIENDS ABSOLUTELY ROCKED!!! Oh how I've missed all of them. I also felt as if I'd known them personally. The writers of that show were just brilliant. And I don't care how they have to do it, I'd give anything in the world to see them back together again. Sure, most reunions may have been crappy, but this is "Friends" we're talking about. That just isn't possible when they're together. A masterpiece is what we'd have! I'm all game! I sure wish they were!(She crosses her fingers).....-Buckeye Chick
