What do the following people have in common?
- John McCain
- Rush Limbaugh
- Mary Matalin
- Dianne Feinstein
- Barbra Streisand
They're all huge fans of
24!
Co-creator Joel Surnow, a conservative,
thinks (scroll down) that it's the one

Yeah, I wonder if this show convinced McCain about a ticking time-bomb excuse to torture.

Bill Gates has also said that 24 is the only TV show he watches.

Surnow's a genius, last season he had some kind of junket for a bunch of conservative writers and talkers, it got weeks of coverage from guys like Rush and David Horowitz, for pictures and watching scenes get shot. Still this year I'm hearing from people from that side of the aisle (my side, actually) buying all the old DVDs to catch up, and Rush mentions it regularly, especially his cruch on Chloe. I take 4 episodes out at a time to watch with my family, who heard about 24 from me, but got really interested after hearing friends at church talking about it.
