So, what happened on The Loop last night?

So I was all set to review
The Loop
last night, but for some reason I thought it was on FOX at 9:30 instead of 8:30 and I missed it. Yeah, I know, and this
is coming from the guy who does the What's On Tonight posts every damn day.
Anything happen on the show last
night? Did it suddenly become hysterical and brilliant? Was it canceled and replaced by reruns of
Stacked?

Sam ran into a girl, Jolie, who he had dated two and a half times before. She was upset because he ran out on her on their third date. He covered with a story that his brother was in the hospital, but we find out later he ran out because he pooped his pants.
He manages to get another date with her, but work gets in the way. Russ is taking aim at Virgin air so he tells Sam he has to get a first class ticket to Hong Kong and fly there tonight, the night of his date. Since he can't blow Jolie off again, he decides to exchange the ticket for two business class tickets and take her to Hong Kong with him.
Before they board, Russ and Meryl show up. They are going to Hong Kong with him. He covers by telling them that he exchanged his first class ticket to save the company money. Russ and Meryl board first class while Sam is waiting for Jolie to come back from the bathroom. Then they get back off of the plane with Russ declaring that he has seen enough. He tells Sam that they are all leaving.
While he is trying to weasel his way out of that, Jolie returns from the bathroom and gets on the plane. She ends up leaving without him and going to Hong Kong by herself. As he leaves the airport he listens to panicked voicemail messages from her wondering where he is.
While this is going on Sully is starting up a sandwich delivery company where he takes his meat slicer to you and makes the sandwich for you. And if you buy 5 sandwiches you get an animal sculptured from meat.
Sam finally gets in touch with Jolie and agrees to pick her up the next day at 6 when she arrives. Of course, work gets in the way again. Russ is planning to announce the new service to Hong Kong, Tiger Air, and anyone not there will be fired. Sam decides to go anyway.
He meets Jolie as she comes off the plane, but it turns out that while she was in Hong Kong she met a rich hotel owner and spent the night having sex in a cab, on a float in a parade, and in the hotel room that Sam paid for. Cutting his losses he races to get to the announcement.
While on his way he calls Meryl and asks if it has started. She is confused because she says Sam is already at the announcement. Sully, to help his brother, has sculpted a Sam out of meat and is sitting in the back row with it. When Russ calls for the tigers to be released the attack meat Sam and begin ripping him to pieces. The crowd is horrified.
At the last minute Sam rushes in and saves his ass by grabbing the mic and telling everyone that this display was to show everyone that Tiger Air is going to devour the competition.

Good summary doc, but you missed Lizzy doing the Coyote Ugly thing every time someone ordered a Vodka Tonic. Quality entertainment.

this show is bad, it is better then stacked but that does not say much. I wish A.D was on but nooo they had to make room for this junk. Next fall it will not even be on the schedule.

Allen, I'm going to claim that I left that out because it is so early here on the west coast. Because really, there is no excuse for forgetting that scene. Wow. :D

"It's a turkey made of ham!" -Sully, on his first sculpted animal.
I don't know why that was so funny to me, or continues to be, for that matter.

Watched this show for the first time last night...I don't know if it was because we watched the two episdoes of Sons & Daughters right beforehand, which were funny/ok/funny/chuckle/sad/funny...but man, both me and my girlfriend were crying we were laughing so hard during the first 10-15 minutes. I'm sure the novelty will wear off, and it'll be just another fox-flash-in-the-pan...and it's of course nowhere near as good as AD...but man...funny ep.

I love the scenes w/ the boss. He's absurdly hilarious.
The shows not super great, but at least you can get something else done while watching it. I don't have to be afraid that I've missed something important on the screen if I'm in the kitchen.

While I haven't seen The Loop, I don't think anyone can favorably compare anything using Stacked as a yardstick.
That said, I had the misfortune of pointing out to my spouse how bad Stacked was, and now she started watching it. I may need a divorce.

Yippe! I got stars but I have no idea why.
Anyway does anyone get the feeling that the kid on this show is trying so hard to be Ryan Reynolds from Van Wilder? Anyway, I agree with whoever said it's ridiculous that this show is on instead of A.D. But, oh well, enough bitching about A.D. being cancelled. The Loop just well...for lack of better words sucks...Or if I were English, it's a 'load of bollocks'.

I think this show is really good. I got hooked right away though it's one of those shows where you know you'll only watch it if you're looking for something on and it's there. It's not like that I will go out of my way to watch it but when it's on and I am not busy, I love it.

This show has potential, except I didn't like the plot. It was predictable and they should've cut the boring scenes where he tries to correct the situation with his date (where he promises to pick her up from the flight back). A comedy like this shouldn't be concerned about tying up loose ends. Also the whole ham incident with the tigers was just awkward.
I did love Mimi Roger's little jabs and the "What?" games that ensued.

This is the best new show ive seen in a very long time. its edgy and clever at the same time and actually relatable, even if it is out there some times and cartoony. Refreshing to see a main character that i actually root for. Bring it back for more seasons!Ramjackers!!!
