Two years ago, Washington D.C. Senate aide Jessica Cutler shocked citizens inside and outside the beltway when she blogged her sexual exploits with an apparently large amount of men. Her escapades inspired her novel The Washingtonienne, which was loosely based on all of her experiences, but all of the names were changed.
Now, HBO is plowing ahead with a sitcom based on the novel. It will be developed by the production company Pretty Matches, which is owned by former Sex in the City star Sarah Jessica Parker. Former Jack & Bobby scribe Vanessa Taylor has been attached as the head scriptwriter.
Cutler, who had spent years naming names and how much she received when she got together with 'Mr. X', is now being very shy and declining to comment about the project. Perhaps a case of the embarrassing guilts has caught up with her.

I don't think I've ever actually seen Jessica name names, so am not quite sure where that part came from but I don't think she has anything at all to feel guilty about and am personally looking forward to seeing the show.

Another attractive woman, bragging publicly about exploits with powerful people? I'm not exactly a feminist but, come on. Reminiscent of Heidi Fleiss, Monica Lewinski...

I'm inclined to agree. It looks like I've seen this before.
The success of the show will have plenty to do with who they pick to star in the series.
At least it will determine if I watch it.

Embarrasing guilt catching up? Its Washington! Its more like death threats and subpoena's if anything. Besides, maybe she's already named the names of the A$%holes and is now just hiding the names of people that were nice and/or decent?
