The CW is reportedly thinking about giving 7th
Heaven an eleventh season, even though The WB announced its cancellation back in November.
According to the Los Angeles Times industry blog, called Channel
Island, talks are underway to keep the family-friendly soap on the air for at least one more season. The big question is why The CW would want to do this? When it canceled 7th Heaven, The WB said it's because the show will lose $16 million this year. I doubt these actors would agree to bump down their salaries for one last go.

Maybe it would introduce those faithful to that show to the "new" Network. They're going to be spending money on that anyways.

Nooooo, say it ain't so! I'm so ready to say goodbye to the psychotic mother, the slutty youngest daughter (played by the kid that, after 10 years, still can't act), the retarded twins, the robotic son-in-law, the hysterical over acting older daughter, Fugly Duff, eyebrows boy, and the rest of those wacky Camdens. This poor show has spiraled downhill and has been running on fumes for a few years now. For God's sake, put it out of its misery.

Well Robert, is it any wonder you haven't received any stars?
Let's stick to data -
1. It's been around for ten years. It SHOULD be hard to criticize any show that's been around that long.
2. Hollywood and other leftist types love to ignore that family shows and movies do very well.
3. They're starting a new network, it seems to me that a show that carries as much goodwill as 7th Heaven does can only help launch a new network. Afterall, even Warner's has admitted that the show is not being cancelled because of poor ratings.
I'm looking at this from a writer's point of view. I would hate to be in a position of being told, "OK. You have ten episodes...wrap up a ten year old series." It would be a win-win situation for everyone to give it one more year.

I think that they need to have 7th heaven return for at least one more season. It is one of the best shows ever on the WB, they were not smart when they cancelled the show in November.

I understand that Television is a business, and that after 10 years with such a large cast the costs per episode are very high.
It would be different if we heard that the cast was no longer interested or that the show had run out of ideas, but that's not the case.
Its truly a shame to lose a family show, with good rating and nothing but positive influences.

I would love to see another season of 7th Heaven. I agree that some aspects of the show will not resonate with some viewers, but overall, the show is great. Besides, there are not enough really good shows still in production nowadays. My other favorites are Charmed (which is definately leaving the airwaves this season), Smallville, and another show that has been on the air forever and shows no signs of leaving the airwaves- The Simpsons.
