Eliot over at
Hackaday found
this super cool clip on YouTube. It's the opening sequence of
The Simpsons, but done entirely in live action. Before I clicked over to it I wondered, 'how in the world are
they going to pull that off?' Actually, they pull it off quite well, using some awesome editing techniques to maintain
the frantic pace of the animated sequence. Also, notice the keen attention to detail, such as the real-life versions of
the twins Sherri and Terri in the bandroom sequence.

You can notice there are two different side on car that Marge drove on right side and Homer drove on correct left side.

Yeah,.. great job and attention to detail. The only thing I'm dissapointed about is the fact that the Marge/Baby sequence in the car has her on the wrong side. I could understand if this was produced somewhere where that was normal, but since 'Homer' was on the correct side, it doesn't make sense why they wouldn't go the extra mile to do it right.

Also, when Homer dropped the plutonium rod, it didn't bounce into his shirt. It just fell and magicially made its way into his collar.

If you look at the license plates you can see that it was not done in the USA. Hence the "wrong side" for marge... as to why homer was on the correct side.. who knows.

according to here http://tinyurl.com/jnjjw , it is a promo video for the UK broadcast. so, the wrong side makes sence, also the buildings etc.
at that site, the clip can be downloaded.

The decrepit school, the price quoted on the back of the magazine Maggie is reading is £14.99, the policeman's uniform and the superior PAL television colour is also a give away. It looks like the UK to me.

This is absolutely in the UK. The "driving on the left", "steering wheel on the right", "cop uniform", etc., are all giveaways! Ian.
