So long, Brenna, don't let the door of broken
dreams hit you in your butt on the way out. Have fun traveling back to whatever island of over-confidence and misery
that you came from. And say hi to the Brittenum Twins for me, because I'm sure they're there too. Finally, she is gone.
I know it's only the second week of eliminations, but it was a long two weeks with Brenna on deck. But luckily, America
just pushed her overboard. I guess somebody should throw her a life preserver, but it's not gonna be me.
I have to give myself a big pat on the back because I got it 100% right this week. Heather Cox is the other girl to go, and David Radford and Sway were cut from the boys. I don't think that any of this was a surprise. They all seem like nice people (minus Brenna, of course), but they just didn't have what it takes. Carrie Underwood looked and sounded amazing. Although, I think she might have dropped a few IQ points during her travels. She seemed a little ditsy tonight. As far as fashion goes, Mandisa was another victim of those revolutionary "invisible" bra straps. They aren't invisible. You can still see them. They are giant pieces of plastic emerging from your tank top and supporting your enormous bosoms. How could we not notice them?
But the real question up for debate is how many shots of tequila did Paula Abdul have before the live broadcast? (My guess? Fourteen and a chaser of Red Bull) And, what exactly does it mean for a "moth to fly past the melon towards the cereal box?" Is that what she said? No, that's not right. I'm sure I will come across it in a fortune cookie eventually. That is, of course, if they serve fortune cookies in an insane asylum.

Tonight I honestly don't think Sway should have gone, lets be honest here Kevin? Will? Sway is far more talented then those two put together. That being said, Kevin is kinda cool I guess cause hes young, but he has NO chance of winning the competion, atleast Sway had the talent to win it.
I also don't think that David should have been eliminated I think he was better than Will and Kevin. Guess it wasn't his lucky night.

She sounded really drunk. I'm hoping those comments about the fortune cookie weren't meant towards the asian guy that got eliminated.

Your comments about Carrie looking and sounding amazing tonight are certainly right on the money. However, I think your analysis of reduced IQ is off the mark. In all fairness to Carrie, some responsibility for the awkward silence at times has to be placed on Ryan for not interacting fully in order to encourage meaningful dialogue. Plus, the venue simply does not permit a long-winded oration which could possibly be more in keeping with Carrie's level of intelligence. All in all, your compliments are noteworthy, but the IQ comments are somewhat mean-spirited, gratuitously provocative, and simply unnecessary.

paula abdul's behavior tonight was incredibly disrepectful to the singers--both the ones being voted off and their peers, as well.
i was glad that ryan seacrest at least attempted to rein things in by asking if they knew they were actually on tv. by the time the end of the show came, it seemed to me as if the whole cast was feeling unhappy and uncomfortable.
let's hope that fox makes sure she gets help for whatever her problems are. the contestants and the audience like her and only want her to be well.

I thought everyone eliminated I agreed with. It was predictable actually. There are so many on the show that aren't good, though. It is only a matter of how much one sucks than another.

If Brenna hadn't gone tonight, I think I would have hurled a heavy object at my TV. God, and how cheesy was her whole, "I want to make lots of money" routine? Could she be any more shallow? With the kind of karma she's gathering with that attitude, in her next lifetime she'll come back as a flea or cockroach.

Oh Brenna!
It amazes me just how foolish people will make themselves look given the chance. Now that she is free to start her "career" Perhaps William Hung needs an opening act.

THE FANS GOT IT RIGHT THIS WEEK...THE WEAKEST SINGERS ARE GONE. AS FOR PAULA...HER BEHAVIOR IS VERY ODD AND MOST CERTAINLY ANNOYING. I FIND MYSELF AGREEING WITH SIMON THAT SHE'S IRRITATING. WHAT GIVES? CARRIE SOUNDED GOOD...I'M REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING BO NEXT WEEK. AND WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK ELLIOTT YAMIN IS THE NEXT GREAT SINGER...HE SOUNDS AVERAGE AT BEST. IT'S ONLY MY OPINION.

I also picked the bottom four prior to the show. I was so thankful that "America" agreed with Simon and booted Brenna off. Her arrogance after Simon told her she was leaving on Tuesday was such a turn off. In my mind there are only a few real stand outs this year and I find myself wanting to fast forward to just having them left. I'm sure many feel as I do.

Brenna makes me cringe whenever she says something. Does she realise how sad she is when she does that? Probably to cover up her own insecurities.

American Idol is a dream for some a nightmare for those of us who are subjected to Paula Abduls land of what appears to be drunkin gobbley gook. The only two judges that make sense is Simon and Randy. I never disagree with Simon because I am mature enough to know what he is talking about. I watch the show with my teenage children and we turn the channel when Paula goes into la la land. Yes Brenna gone and all of America is joyful and so are AI contestants If you noticed none of the girls hugged Brenna when she left Nuff Said !

Is it my birthday? American Idol gave me just what I wanted. Bye bye Brenna!
I think it was very obvious who should go and I was glad that America got it right. I will give you that Sway may have been more talented than some of the remaining contestants but he really did not seem like his heart was in it. He even told Ryan that he was relieved that it was over. I think that the only surprising thing of the night for me was the Kevin was the other person in the guy's bottom three. I am not really a fan (and he probably deserved to be there) but I thought that all of the teenage girls that make up the Idol audience would be helping him through based on the "squish" factor. Hopefully this does not rally them to vote more next week.
I agree with everyone that Paula was off her rocker last night. I think it was really insensitive of her to be making jokes like that when the poor contestants were on edge about who was being eliminated. She needs to get some serious help ASAP.

I stopped in for a McGriddle this morning and there she was. Somehow Brenna went from total loser to working at a Metro-Detroit McDonald's overnight.
I think she's put on weight and her hair and voice seemed different too.

Did anybody else watch this episode in high def?
In the opening song when Mandissa was waiving her arms around you could see every stretch mark in her armpit. Bad. Bad. Very bad.
I have nothing against large people, just please wear some sleaves and cover your body because HD will bring out every flaw.

I agreed with all of the eliminations. I am looking forward to next week, I hope all will carefully select the right songs for their voices, go for it and then the audience can decide who the real American Idol is. I enjoy the advice that Simon and Randy give. It is certainly something more useful than the senseless words that Paula offers. She is real good with clapping and giving a smile that looks like she is on something. I sure hope that if she has problems they can be addressed by the producers of the show . I would hate to see her bring the entire show down with her. Simon and Randy are carrying the load for now.
