Mediocrity alert... probably my least favorite episode of what I think has been a spectacular
season. But I'll forgive the crappy storyline because this episode finally started to shed some light on the ongoing
questions that have run throughout this season.
Is Wolfe blind yet? When the heck are we gonna find out who this stupid mole is? All got answered (kind of...) but in the meantime H and the gang had to deal with a murdered sex offender. Doesn't sound like a big deal until you realize that the guy was stabbed and trampled to death right down the street from Alexx's house. Tripp said it best though: "Some people would consider this a problem fixing itself."
Dead sex offender: stabbed by his sister in law and beat to death by some irate fathers hanging out at the local jungle gym/swing-set contraption. See what I mean? Not very exciting at all. But Alexx got a lot of flack for it because she had hung some posters in the neighborhood so that folks knew about the new resident and his preference for the young ones. The head medical examiner even wanted to move her to the night shift but I'm not sure what that would have accomplished.
On to the more exciting stuff. Anyone else notice how Wolfe was being an absolute jack-ass to everyone? At first I couldn't figure it out because it seems like he's kind of been that way ever since taking the nail in the eye. I just figured he was starting to get rough around the edges since his eyesight is going. But then he was really rude to Calleigh in that one scene and at that point it was out of character. Suspicions were confirmed when Horatio pulled Wolfe aside and Ryan said "he couldn't keep this up." It seems like H and Wolfe have a little plan to try and flush out the mole and it starts with Wolfe making everyone hate him. I'm not sure how that'll work, but it's what I inferred from the exchange between the two of them.
So it was great to see the "mole story" advanced a little. My vote still goes with Natalia; seems the most obvious. I'm a little confused as to why they haven't addressed the date that Marisol (Delko's sister) and Horatio went on. They made such a big deal out it and haven't mentioned it since. She invited him over, cooked him dinner! Something had to have happened. Can I get some more feedback on the mole though? Anyone have a good argument for someone other than Natalia?

Apparently the episode was so mediocre that one of us completely missed the whole whodunit reveal. I thought he was stabbed by the brother, not the sister-in-law. Anyone care to clarify which of us is right?

doc, you're right...the sister-in-law confessed to it, but at the end, they took away the brother, who actually stabbed the guy.

I've never seen the show, so I can't comment on the episode, but what I find funny is the photo above. Are they cops or are they runway models? I think the photog gave them the instruction to look "edgy" and show "attitude."
Can you immagine Joe Friday or Lt. Columbo like this?

Thanks bandar. Also worth noting that the sister-in-law was played by Julie Benz who was Darla on Buffy. The former Buffy cast is everywhere on TV this year.

My vote on the mole is still on the the DNA girl who was suspended and then brought back. SHe may have cut some kind of deal to get her job back.
I think Natalia is so obvious that they are going to make her look so guilty then at the last moment reaveal the true mole.
