Maybe now people will start referring to Drew Lachey as 'the dancer' instead of 'the brother of Nick
Lachey'. Last night, he and dancing partner Cheryl Burke won the ugly mirrorball trophy on ABC's Dancing with the
Stars. Half of the decision was up to the judges and half was up to the voters.Pro wrestler Stacy Keibler was eliminated halfway through the show, bringing it down to Drew and Jerry Rice.
What do you think? Is Drew the rightful winner?

After his latest performances, I was pulling for Drew to win. But Stacey should have been 2nd.
I love Jerry Rice but he could not hold a candle to Stacey when it came to dancing. He should have been 4th - Lisa Rina was better than him too.

Flat footed Rice over Stacey? Are you kidding America? Just goes to show how much name recognition counts over talent when it comes to America's vote!

Stacey was deserving until her free style dance. Of course if she was hurt she did pretty good for being injured but Drew's free style was excellent. He came out the winner.
Stacey should have been second. And Lisa should've been 3rd.
Jerry tried but was never a contender.

I agree that Drew & Cheryls last two performances put them over the top; however, the third place should have been Lisa Rinna. Jerry Rice is a great athlete and was just starting to show promise as a dancer, but it was obvious that his large football fan base kicked in to bring him to the finals. Stacy and Tony were great, but when it counted at the Freestyle they did not perform up to the standards they had set for the competition. Drew and Cheryl ... Congratulations .. but once the baby is born, I assure you, that ugly trophy will be almost forgotten ...

I think Stacey Keibler was by far the best dancer and performed far better than anyone else in the recent Dancing with the Stars. I will never watch this popularity contest again.

I'm glad that Drew and Cheryl won.. I've been pulling for them since the beginning of the show. I was absolutely shocked when Stacy got 3rd. I just think it was her freestyle dance that did it for me.. I wasn't into it at all like I was Drew's!

Drew was the rightful winner, no real question in my mind. The big controversy seems to be Jerry over Stacy. That's just a classic demonstration that these shows are about more than just the particular talent, just like American Idol is about more than singing. Stacy peaked early. Maybe people got tired of voting for her. Maybe they thought they were doing Jerry a favor. Maybe they actually liked Jerry's attitude better, and Stacy rubbed them the wrong way with her freestyle that honestly appeared like they decided to take it easy that week.
I don't mind Jerry in second at all. In fact, I prefer it. Had he come in third I just would have sat there and said "Well, why not fourth? How come Lisa Rinna, who is also better than him, had to get screwed?" Jerry coming in second firmly establishes that it's not all about the dancing. Stacy was the best dancer. Absolutely. But that's all she really had. You didn't get much of a character to cheer for, or even much of a personality. When she spoke all she ever really said was "We all work so hard and we love each other so much no matter who wins," and it was a little too beauty queen for me, personally. Compare that to Jerry who brought his daughter in to critique him or Drew who's pregnant wife watched through the whole thing. They gave the audience more. That's the best way I can put it. I love that scene in the restaurant where Drew said, "I can't turn my cellphone off, I'm on baby watch." Good for him for remembering that even though he's on television his wife and baby still come first.

I didn't watch this show...ever...until it replaced DH last night. After the winner was announced, I could see in the faces of the winners what I was thinking:
"Hmm, I just won a reality show...that can't be good."
The losers had similar thoughts, but, more optimistic.

Drew as the winner hands down. Every single week he and Cheryl raised their own perosonal bar, even while keeping competition in mind you could tell they were challenging themselves and that is what won it for them in the end...Stacey, yeah she's hot and obviously has dancing ability but was she on her game every time and did she keep going above and beyond what she had done the week before? Sorry but no, last week's performance especially the freestyle showed it, and yesterday's performance, while it had a great ending that is really all there was to the number, everything else about that routine was just that- routine. And to see Drew who was doing just as much as Cheryl in the routine, a routine that was physically demanding the whole way through and to end with that jump, clearly the audience had it right, but to give Stacey all 10's and Drew 9's, those ahd to have been sympathy 10's because they knew Drew and Cheryl had it in the bag. And as for Jerry, all right for him, the least likely finalist he worked his a** off and by the end of it he was having a great time and ended that show the most changed and improved and he really did come further that anyone, including Stacey and that is why he was second and not her.

I wish it were just up to the judges. Seeing Master P come back again and again was just painful. Lisa Rinna was robbed, and while Jerry Rice is definitely a great guy, a true gentleman, he did not belong in the finals.

It would have been funny if he would have been dancing with his former sister-in-law, Jessica Simpson!
Incidentally, I don't think he should have won. I think Lisa Rinna should have won!

I watched every week and kept pulling for Lisa because she was so excited about it. Drew was my other choice so I'm glad he won. I liked Stacy but hated that the show put on someone who had so much of a dance background. That was unfair from the beginning. It was much more fun watching the celebs improve from week to week than to watch her do well each time. All of San Fran must have been voting for the beloved son for Jerry to be in 2nd.

I am not sure if Drew's wife noticed... but mine has noticed that I was salivating whenever Cheryl was dancing... I can watch her calmly only when she is NOT moving... there is amazing energy radiating form her when she is dancing...
