CSI: Miami - Skeletons

Horatio's nemesis Walter ResdenI like arch enemies. It's good for a show to have a recurring jerk-wad who you just want to beat the crap out of. In my mind no one will ever eclipse Murdoc (from MacGyver) but Walter Resden comes pretty close. He is a creepy man... and something about his receding hair line makes him even creepier.

If you recall, we first met Resden earlier this season but the history he and Horatio share dates all the way back to when H still worked in NYC. Resden was stalking a young girl named Jennifer Wilson (played by Alexandra Lydon; you may recognize her as Jane Saunders from season three of 24) and he ended up murdering her parents while she watched from a closet. Horatio was never able to implicate Resden in the crime and he ended up fleeing. So Horatio made it his goal to protect Jennifer should Walter ever come looking for her again. He did.

After their last encounter when Resden tried to frame Horatio for some random murder, I don't think anyone expected him to resurface in Miami. But Jennifer is of age now, and it seems logical for her to not quite remember what he looks like since she was in a closet the last time she saw him. So he seeks her out on an online dating service using his middle name Lee and they begin to date. How cute! Meanwhile, Resden starts dropping clues for Horatio all over the place. Delko finds a body buried at the beach with a key lodged in the body's mouth. Then another dead couple is found in the house that was owned by the buried guy. They were killed in the exact same fashion as Jennifer's parents.

So what's the connection? Calleigh and Wolfe realize that Resden had been killing off all his foster brothers and sisters... except one. When they were younger, their foster father used to beat Resden and the only one who stuck up for him was the brother Resden hadn't killed yet. The key belonged to that guy's house so Horatio went and got the whole story of the childhood. The foster father was conveniently living in Dade County too, but H and Wolfe caught up to Resden before he could finish the job. Horatio actually felt a connection to Resden near the end. I think he felt bad for him, because he gave the foster father a free shot at him only to call him a coward.

Back at the lab, we found out that Delko and Natalia have been sleeping together. She thought she may have been pregnant but it was just a false alarm. Now I've been thinking about this. We haven't heard about the mole in a few episodes but I'm thinking it's Natalia. She's a new character which means she's easily disposable after one season and she's doing her best to stay close to Delko. If you noticed, after she told Delko she may be pregnant, she turned to walk onto the elevator and she had a pretty guilty look on her face. The kind of look that says "I may be falling for this guy and I hate that I'm lying to him." I may be reading in to this way too much, but she's the only character that makes to sense to me right now. Can anyone make a better argument for someone else?
