Moral Orel: Charity

moral orelShut up, Jesus. -Orel, while on crack

I'd like to kick off this episode recap by recalling, again, some of the funny products shown during last night's episode of Moral Orel:

KLUM-Z Caucasian Band-Aids

Hard Milk (spiked milk that Orel's dad drinks before church)

HIV Away (a doctor sprays it on a needle before drawing blood from Orel's arm)

Once again, Orel tries to do the Christian thing and it ends up backfiring on him. When the minister tells the congregation they must help the homeless or burn in Hell, Orel offers the money he made at his new job to a crack dealer. The dealer, so impressed with Orel's charity, gives him a bag of crack as a gift. Orel soon becomes addicted to crack and other hard drugs, which culminates in him beating the crap out of the old man who runs the drug store where he works. Before that happens there's a hilarious visual gag in which the shopkeep flips the "open" sign to "closing" and then again to "closed." See, signs only have two sides, that's why it's funny. Okay then.

The show ends with Orel relinquishing his stash to his father, who promises to put half of whatever he makes from selling it into the collection plate on Sunday. He also warns Orel to stay away from the drug because "crack is a gateway to slang." I guess there was a lesson for all of us after all. I know I'll never use slang while smoking crack ever again.
