CBS found such huge success with Rock
Star: INXS last year that it is launching another series. Obviously, it won't be exactly the same since the search
landed INXS with a new lead singer. And, CBS hasn't announced which band will be participating in the next round. What
bands need a new lead singer? Blind Melon?Here are a list of audition dates and cities, if you rock:
March 1 - Austin
March 3 - Boston
March 6 - Atlanta
March 8 - New York
March 11 - Chicago
March 13 - Toronto
March 16 - Minneapolis
March 18 - Seattle
March 21 - San Francisco
March 23 - Vancouver, B.C.
March 31 - Los Angeles

i auditioned today march 3rd in Boston it went awsome. there is still no word who it is yet. there are rumors of both halen n alice in chains, or also another alternative i heard was a super group of musicians built to suit the next "rock star" about 200 ppl showed not as many as i had figured. alot of karoke singers mostly. very few real singers. but it rolled along pretty smooth besides the brutally cold weather.
so to anyone who plans on auditioning for the show. dont make that much of a fuss on ur tracks that youll sing (production wise) because at the open call , you will only get about 45-90 secs to show what you have, so make it good. they want to see energy, good look, and a great singer. if your a bar room singer who comes out on thursday night when grams is watchin the kids. dont waste your time. its not like american idol. and it actually slows everything down having to sit there and listen to horrible singer after horrible singer. good luck all!!!

I thought I had read somewhere that it was going to be Van Halen. Then again, that was quite a while ago, so plans may have changed.
