This news comes from the National Enquirer, so take it with a bucket of
salt, but someone has come forward and said that they have in fact made sweet, sweet love to Clay Aiken, and it isn't a
girl.
John Paulus claims he met Aiken on a Web site and that Clay was looking for a "discreet BF" (the "BF" stands for "boyfriend" just to clear that up right away). The two allegedly met in a North Carolina hotel room for a night of sensual southern magic. Ah, hells yeah.
This would be a great story, perhaps one for next year's Christmas letter, but I don't believe it. It's from the National Enquirer, so it loses some credibility in that respect. Also, I can't imagine Clay, who stays relatively cool about the whole gay/not gay thing, would risk exposing himself by contacting some random guy via the Web. Clay has money, and if he wants a gay rendezvous with no strings attached he could make it happen. If not, then what's the point of having all that money?

I completely agree with what you've said. Clay is not that kind of person, and even if he was, he would not make it so someone could find out and do what they've done with getting it in the news.
Besides, if you read the trash, you'll see several mistakes. Such as the age, (Clay is 27, not 26) and the fact that on the supposed date of their 'date', Clay was in NYC, not Raleigh.
Clay Aiken is not gay. End of story.

How you know where he was during Christmas time?
If he isn’t gay he is the fruitiest straight guy I ever seen. I think he should just man up and just say that he gay. Its not like he is the first singer or Idol contestant to be gay.

Well, I don't think the story really ends with Clay not being gay, but does it really matter? Either way, this story doesn't seem at all realistic.

Jesus, why do people keep repeating this crap? It's right up there with the woman who got a restraining order against David Letterman talking to her through her TV set. CLAY WASN'T EVEN IN THE SAME STATE AS THIS GUY ON THE DATE IN QUESTION. I hope he sues the marrow from the smallest bones of all concerned.

Dang, I cannot stand that guy!! Why is he still around? I wish this story was true, but my sister goes to school in N.C. and has seen him with a girlfriend around town. Maybe this story will finally get him to go away though. I can hope.

I'll never understand why people can hate Clay Aiken. Not liking his music is one thing, but Clay is one of the nicest and classiest artists out there today. Clay Aiken is great role model who has not only given back to worthy causes like Unicef, but has also started his own successful Bubel Aiken Foundation. If this is deemed hate-worthy then so be it, that is your opinion, but pretty foolish if you ask me. You know it may never be "hip" and "cool" to be nice, wholesome, charitable, and scandal free, but this former Alternative Disc Jockey certainly thinks those qualities are admirable and definitley a breath of fresh air in the entertainment world.
As for the gay story. Clay has denied it, and I've met the man on a few occassions, and frankly I'm more inclined to believe him than some dude who's making claims in a tabloid. However, in the end its no big deal either way. Wouldn't change the man or his talent.

I think the news would be more shocking if it proved he isn't gay.

haha! You, Mr Finley, have an excellent BS detector. As Mandy has already pointed out, Clay Aiken wasn't even in the state of North Carolina when he was supposedly shtupping this clown. Sad, isn't it, that liars can't even be bothered to do a little research first?

Not all flamers are gay. Trust me. I've met some might straight flamers in my short time on this world. They're out there.
Not that it matters, of course, I'm just saying...

This story is just not possible. The man claims Clay sent his first message online on Dec. 16. Clay was on tour in Nashville, TN on Dec. 16... with his busy schedule (and the fact that there is almost always someone around him on tour), he couldn't have possibly found time to go online on gay sites. A simple interview with a few tour managers and a easy sweep of Aiken's computer by a computer specialists will clear Aiken's name.
Clay is not stupid - I hope he sues this idiot.

I hope that Clay isn't gay, but if he is who cares? It isn't like he would be the only gay man in show business. I just think that if he is it was his place to come out and not some guy that is looking to make a buck off of some story that I personally find hard to believe. The things this guy said about Clay just don't even seem believable. The things that Clay supposedly said to him just don't even seem like something he would say.So I say I think the whole thing is CRAP!!!!

it's about time someone came forward. we've known for a long time that clay was hooking up on gay.com. if you have any gay friends at all, then you know someone who knows someone that clay's hooked up with. i do. i also know that he's a top. and afraid of cats. yes, there are effeminate men who are straight. clay is not one of them.
why does it matter? because the poor boy is living a lie and he shouldn't have to. here he is in a position to be an inspiration, a role model, to help so many struggling gay teens come to terms with themselves, to accept themselves, and instead he's chosen a path of winking self-hatred. maybe one day he'll finally come clean, and we'll all be just about as surprised as when george michael came out.

You know what, though? It's no one's business. It is not up to anyone else to out another person. Clay Aiken has said he is not gay; until he tells the public something different, he should be taken at his word. It's *certainly* not the duty of John Paulus to speak up.The man is a sleaze bag.

"We've known for a long time..." Yeah, I hear that one a lot. Except that the "we" is always a guy who read something on the internet written by someone he doesn't know.
You don't know me. I can go around to fifty websites right now and tell people I slept with him. I can make up a really good story with enough "true" details that people will believe it. But it doesn't change the fact that I'd be lying.
Maybe he's gay, maybe he isn't. And the people who believe he is and want to shout it from the rooftops until the rest of us believe it too don't seem to be letting up. But what frustrates the hell out of them is that I've been paying much closer attention to him, his behavior, etc. for the past three years than they have, and...sorry, but I'm just gonna go ahead and believe what I've observed myself with my own eyes and ears instead of buying some line of crap on the internet or in a tabloid.
And if the reason they're spreading this shyte is because they think they're gonna end his career...don't bother. His fans don't care. We're not the closed-minded freaks you think we are. A little nuts, maybe...but we're good people who like him no matter what the outcome of this crap is.

Who cares if he's gay or not. I certainly don't. It's not like any one of us is going to hook up with him. He's here to entertain us, he's made us aware of so many causes near & dear to his heart and because we admire him so much, they are causes that became near & dear to our hearts and we've supported them. So if he was in NYC or in that hotel room, I really don't care and shame on that guy to kiss & tell!

My belief is that this is a very untrue story. Clay was not even in NC on the date this liar says. Clay IS NOT a stupid person. I don't think he would have unprotected sex with a female! I do not believe he would go alone to meet this person in a motel room. He has Jerome around him when he is around his fans who have absolutely no desire to hurt him, even his 'Meet & Greets' are guarded. Why would he risk meeting up with a person like this for the first time alone? It just makes me sick to see people try to ruin someone who is trying to do good things. Clay has brought so much happiness to so many people through his singing and charity work. Why is this liar TRYING to take down Clay? Has anyone looked into that?
