While many of the networks will undoubtedly keep a lot of crap on the air for another two seasons, this is actually
good news. Showtime just picked up seasons four and five of Penn & Teller: Bullshit! The program is along
the same lines as their live show, except, instead of debunking magic tricks, they debunk all sorts of things like
magnet therapy, reflexology, Feng Shui, Ouija boards, baby myths, and chiropractors (don't shoot the messenger!).
Season four of the show starts April 3 on Showtime. New episodes include examining the death penalty, prostitution and
virginity.Two more seasons of Bulls**t!

It's a very entertaining show... Unless you're the type of person who believes in a lot of BULLSHIT!

Alright, so it's Mythbusters about magic. Whoop-de-f'n-do.

No, it's not Mythbusters with magic. Mythbusters is about science proving (or disproving) urban legends. Bullshit is about using logic, facts, and interviews to disprove pop culture.
Mythbusters blows things up. Bullshit disproves PETA.

Bullshit is a bad show for the reason that the methods they use are the exact opposite of Mythbusters. Mythbusters states the myth, its variations and then tests it from every possible angle they can until it is either fully busted or they distinguish a scenario in which something was possible. They have no agenda other than to test.
Bullshit, however, exists only to disprove whatever their theme for that week is. If all you look for is evidence against, all you will find is evidence against.
Plus, I just despise Penn.

Well, first of all, Penn Jillette is awesome.
Second, Mythbusters definitely does NOT test every possible angle. They usually try one or two of THEIR ideas of how a myth might have happened and when those don't work, they declare it busted. It's hardly rigorous enough to have any sort of real scientific merit. However, it's entertaining.
Third, you're going about this the wrong way. Why are we even comparing Mythbusters to Bullsh*t? It's not like they are the same show. Penn and Teller are presenting evidence against commonly held beliefs in an entertaining way. Ever read "Freakonomics"? It's a bestseller because it did the same thing.
