It's absolutely stupid how many shows the networks want to put in the 9pm/8pm Central slot on Wednesday. I like Law & Order, Criminal Minds, and Mythbusters. On top of that, American Idol is now on from 9 to 9:30.

WHY OH WHY Would they move Las Vegas to Fridays?! It's like signing its death warrant. This is very much like what MTV did with Fastlane years back. It was a kick@$$ show but they aired it on Friday nights when ITS TARGET AUDIENCE WOULDN'T BE AROUND. So obviously it was a ratings disaster and was canceled after one season. I don't see Vegas lasting too long on Fridays. I would think the type of people who watch it from week to week are the same types who would be out with their friends on a Friday night. Well at least I got a DVR...

Looks like Vegas is out. A potential sci-fi cult-hit like the X-Files (that has no CERTAIN demographic) did well on Fridays and has kinda been the Friday-"We're not dead yet!" point to bring up. But Las Vegas? Don't think so.
Though I know that I haven't watched Vegas since I got into 24 and/or Prison Break. It's a hard slot to fill, I suppose. Gotta go with counter-programming at this point or give up (NBC with the Biggest Loser specials on Wed. @ 8 fits either example).
Perhaps they're going to keep "Book of Daniel" on Fridays and try to package it as some "Two Hours of Sin" bundle. Ah...think I hit it.
And with "Deal or No Deal" it looks like NBC is stealing ABC's programing strategies from the late 90s. Get ready for "Deal or No Deal" seven days a week PLUS a syndicated version with ANOTHER charming View host crazy lookin' STAR JONES! She teased and then avoided questions during every friggin' interview about her book so she should be pretty good at "Deal or No Deal."

And also, Law and Order up against Lost? Is that smart? I know L&O is still NBC's big war horse, but honestly no one around the water cooler on thursdays talks about how the case went, its all about the island.

1) You guys forget to mention that the Friday edition of "Dateline NBC" is moving to Saturdays @ 8pm.
2) NBC must have some balls to put Dick Wolf's "Conviction" in the same slot that "Trial by Jury" once held, considering that show was cancelled, pissin Wolf off.

They're going to put Law & Order against Lost and Criminal Minds?
I just watched the first few episodes of this season and was surprised they were good, but that gets added to the download list, not the must watch list when it's up against those other shows. Fox moved Bones to that spot as well - they might as well have just cancelled the show.

I have no idea why NBC is moving Law & Order to Wednesdays at 9pm?!? I guess that they assume Law & Order will be around longer than Lost. There is no way they get a huge 18-49 demo anyway.
As for Las Vegas, it was supposed to be a great leadout for football on Mondays starting next season (when football is on Sunday). Maybe the plan is to move it to Sunday in the lead-in spot. Either way, I don't think the Apprentice will break out on Mondays.
