Damn. I really liked these two. Terrell and Derrell Brittenum, 28, are accused of stealing a man's identity to buy a
2005 Dodge Magnum last June in Georgia. Terrell has been sitting in jail since January 10, and Derrell is expected to
turn himself in soon on charges of forgery, theft by deception, and financial identity fraud. Wow. That's serious
stuff. The brothers are from Memphis but they auditioned in Chicago last September. I wonder if they drove that stolen
Magnum up for the occasion?Such a waste of a good talent. Both of these guys sounded spectacular in their auditions on Tuesday night. And, what I really liked about them was that they "got it". That is, they auditioned together, as twins, but they also belted out separate songs to show off their individuality. The Brittenum boys understood that the twin gimmick wouldn't get them very far in the auditions process. They even told Seacrest that they didn't want to perform together, but against each other. I was really looking forward to a twin face-off.

They were so negative and cocky. They had some kind of talent, yes, but not enough to say that Carrie Underwood's talent is "average." Theirs certainly was not superior to hers.

I wonder what the average IQ of some of these contestants is? First, they appear on National TV with a total lack of talent, and whine when they are told the truth (finally). Then, these twins as an example, they are criminals and don't expect to be exposed? What do they think, that notoriety is going to keep them from being accountable? Give me a break!

Twins have a nasty attitude, stuck me as being more con men than anything else. Singing talent is OK but something you heard countless times before. Nothing special. Being arrested doesn't surprise me a bit.

I was sad when you kept this set of twins because they tried to act as though they were all that !!! I did not like thier singing at all or anything about either of them and would have loved it had you kept the other younger set of male twins. They appeared to have very good manners, they looked very handsome and they could actually sing. Lets see how far Derrell and Terrell can get sining to the judge!!! They wanted to be judged I guess they will get that for sure.

I haven't liked these two guys, Derrell & Terrell, from the very start, and Derrell's group audition this week was horrendous! He was so busy whining about his group-mates that he forgot the words, and his voice was awful that time! Maybe if he hadn't complained so much about what his group-mates were doing and worried more about his own rehearsing, he would've had time to learn the words of the song!
While the twins were good in their initial audition in Chicago, they were both awful in their respective group auditions this week, so I was surprised that either of them got thru to the next round! But when Terrell got up and quit because he mistakenly thought that his brother had not been advanced, he had no right to go back and ask to be allowed back! And when he did go to be asked back, Simon shouldn't have let him back!
The judges could've used the situation as a lesson! At least one, if not both, needed to learn anyway. They should've realized that they were now in INDIVIDUAL competitions, against each other!
Trying to force the judges to accept them both (by way of a hissy fit!) was a very stupid move. If they were really supposed to be in competition against each other, Terrell should've been prepared for the possibility that one or both wouldn't make it further on in the competition at some point and been adult enough to accept it! What's even worse is that he didn't just get hissy and quit, he didn't even bother to check the facts first! That kind of behavior is childish and unbecoming.
Both guys, but especially Derrell, are bossy and controlling, and act like they know all about show business. One of them even claimed that he had the ability to help another advance to the next round if he was just allowed to do all the talking to the judges! He was wrong....he wasn't able to get the other guy advanced to the next round! Gee, no surprise there!
Both twins went around talking about how they'd conducted themselves above reproach since being sent to Hollywood, and acted like they had such class--but people with class don't need to tell others about how classy they are all the time! And mostly, classy people don't commit identity theft!
I'm glad they are out of the competition! Seeing those two strutting around and pretending they were big shot show biz experts was annoying! What'd they think? That the cops would see them on television and just ignore their felony warrants? Do they think that an "American Idol" would have a felony rap sheet? Hardly!
It's great to watch guys who run around acting like they are so much better than others--guys who act as if their *poop* doesn't stink--finally get taken down several notches! The only thing that could've been better would've been to see only one of them admitted to the finals and TEHN have them arrested and disqualified from the competition!

WOW! It's great to see someone tell the truth unabated about these two peices of filth. What a great site this is and L.P.Thompson should be made a writer for TIME Magazine as far as I'm concerned. However, L.P., you haven't gone far enough. I shall pick up the slack. The person who commented above you said that they were raised better than that. FALSE! Their mother passed when they were about 13 after a long illness)God rest her soul) and their dad had been cheating on their mom for many years with various females. When mom finally passed, dad moved his hottie into the family home almost immediately, pissing off his decidedly FAT, unhappy children. Dad had no regard at all for his sons' feelings. GOOD! He undoubtedly knew what scumbag shits they were and figured ...What the Fuck! A year or two later he and his honey movedout for good and left the house to dumb and dumbass and their oldest brother. Their childhood was fucked up yes, but that is no excuse for them growing up to be thieves, con men, wierdos, and loudmouth pricks. I'm told that when they auditioned in Chicago, they actually drove the stolen DODGE Magnum to the venue! Having one sick parent and one straying parent doesn't give anyone license to commit IDENTITY theft, check fraud, or public indecency(EWWWW!) at any time. They should honor their dead mother by living their lives in a clean and orderly fashion. Instead, the Brittenum Twins both chose to be fat bellied, fat mouthed TERDS. The dynamic between them is, to put it mildly, disfunctional. Derrell openly admitted that they work in concert when it comes to commiting crimes and that he in essence, can't say no. He doesn't want to be separated from his brother. EVEN IN PRISON! They are both royally fucked up to walk around every day with that mindset. YUCK! So many southern people are already backwoods, uneducated and unsophistocated. These ZOO escapees seem to that extra mile. DAAAAAMMMM. They even had the audacity to return to IDOL for season 7 and hope the producers would take them back now that they are temporarily out of jail. HA! They even lied to the press several weeks ago and sed the show WANTED them back. When pressed later, they admitted that they had made the whole thing up. These two Bitches couldn't tell the truth if their smelly lives depended on it. The shitty album they finished a few months ago and are now peddling in interviews will sell less than Corey Clark. Remember him? Corey's existence is why people should always wear condoms. Illlllllllll! Both Corey and his parents are truly fucked up losers. YUCK. As for the Brittenums, Dad should have pulled out, rolled over, and spilled out onto the sheets. Then these corrupt ass wierdo punk bitches wouldn't be deluding themselves into thinking that they can be stars. No one in their right mind would follow them anywhere. Would want their shitty autograph. Terrell may not even be able to spell his own name, considering the poor education the south normally provides. But, hey, he can always make a few humdred a night performing in drag at gay clubs. Something he probably has already done. I do look forward to seeing these Gorillas again.....on the news when they are back behind bars in a cage where they belong. Please tell Derrell that his best bet is to return to Tennesee, git a job as a janitor, and have ugly fat children. Let's face it, we all know that's exactly what's going to happen anyway. Well, gotta go! Please keep writing the truth about crooked idols and I will too. P.S. To the Brittenums: You both look like dumb Fucks and I hear that your dad is thrilled with his young bride and has no desire to see either one of you ever again in life. His leaving you was the best decision he ever made in his adult life. You two shits aren't worth knowing. I hope his marriage is happy and very very prosperous. He reads the paper and watches the news and laughs and laughs everytime you two bitches get arrested and a new mugshot is shown. Wot a laugh riot! Bye Apes!

Those twins were two of the most arrogant and ungrateful people I have seen in a long time! I am glad they are out of the competition because I couldnt stand their "holier than thou" attitude. Last night they both said that their behavior is "flawless"... those boys have so much to learn about life.

the twins could sing well though i never really liked them coz they "over" exagerate their voice and actions.
also american idol is looking for an "over all" package..one who could sing (of course!), with strong audience impact( as a marketing strategy for recording companies), funky, modern wih a sense of class and someone who looks "good"...lasty an american idol would be someone who sets a "good" example..someone who could be a role model.obvously, the twins aren't any of those...and why on earth will they allow to expose themselves when they have this criminal case/record going on? oh well goodluck to those two when they try to sing their way out the court room.
..but hey..even if i never really liked them, i have to admit that i got the impression that their people who grew up with good manners and proper conduct..guess looks could be deceiving huh?

They were too cocky for me. I am sad that they did something that ignorant but if you do the crime, you pay the time. I know from experience because someone stole my identity. It's not something you would enjoy. I wished them the best of luck in the competition but you know I hate they threw it away. Good luck to the others because there are some good singers.

Yes they did have attitudes but they also posess the ability to sing. I believe that the show was a great opportunity for them to learn the do's and dont's of the business. As far as the criminal charges go, everyone is inocent until proven guilty. The twins have not been convicted of a crime yet. I think that they realizes that they made some poor decisions on the show and that if they had a chance to do it all over again, the outcome would have been different.

They were a Joke. Their singing was not any where close to Carrie Underwoods "average voice" as they called it. They had the WORST attitudes, well them and Brenna that is. They deserved to be "uninvited". They were no Idols I would want to look at, listen to or anything else for that matter. Lock them up and throw away the key I say. Oh wait they were already locked up! BOO YOW!
