Oh my goodness is it good to have Scrubs back on the air. It's like exhaling after holding your breath for a long time. Let's dive in and enjoy the goodness over at Sacred Heart Hospital.

J.D. is an Attending at Sacred Heart now, meaning he's got his own batch of interns to lord over. When he wonders what the world would look like through the eyes of his interns we get exactly that perspective, watching one of  them walk up to the hospital, someone we will find out later is named Keith. J.D. feels it's better to be nice and friendly to his interns and there are many shots of them laughing at one of his jokes, even one about enlisting a heroin addict to help find a vein for an I.V.While that's going on we find out that Turk and Carla, over whatever marital problems they might have been having last season, are trying to have a baby. Well, not exactly. Carla wants to have a baby but Turk doesn't feel ready yet. And while Carla thinks she's stopped taking her birth control pill Turk has been secretly feeding more to her as she sleeps or through her food. Until, that is, she finds one hidden in a brownie. Unfortunately Turk's explanation that it's a tiny little marshmallow with writing on it doesn't fly.

One of the funniest moments of the show comes when Carla, after figuring out what Turk is doing, enlists Elliot to come over and stare at him with her. This brings them all back under one roof since J.D. has been secretly staying at the apartment since his burned down. This leads to all sorts of hilarity as he tries to not be seen (he should have just watched Monty Python). Instead he hides in Turk's backpack and even does a surprisingly good Turk imitation.

Eliot meanwhile is still hanging out at Sacred Heart despite having a job at another hospital. The problem is she hasn't talked to anyone over there so it's just easier to go back to the old stomping grounds for lunch. She's the same old insecure train wreck, but is looking more and more womanly.....sorry, I was about to wander off there. I'm back.

The point of the episode is that J.D. is no longer an underling, he's in a position of responsibility and it's up to him to decide how he's going to use that. Will he try to be liked or will he do what needs to be done to save lives and turn his interns into doctors? Of course Dr. Cox is there kicking him in the ass when necessary and handing out (and taking back) "Man" cards to get the job done.
