It happens every year, and you hate to be the one who ends up writing about it (especially me because I'm a big
cry-baby), but it's the right thing to do when it comes time to pay your respects to those we've lost over the last 365
days. So grab a box of tissues and join me along with the rest of my fellow TV Squadders as we remember some of the
great actors, comedians, news anchors, producers, writers, and other television personalities who've moved on to what
we can only hope is a better place.

You forgot about Ruth Warrick. She was the last surviving star of Citizen Kane. She was also part of the original casts of As The World Turns and All My Children, of which she was a part of until her death.

The death of Peter Jennings was shocking, but not surprising as we knew of the conditions that led to the final destination. Same thing with Richard Pryor. On the other hand, John Spencer's death was one of those 'What the hell?'types of surprise deaths. It was the same jolt I felt when John Ritter or Jim Henson died so suddenly.

As a genre fan of a certain age, I was surprised to learn that we lost Ed Bishop and Michael Billington, stars of the 70s British SF series UFO, two days apart this past June. Two senior officers of SHADO so close together? It just has to be a conspiracy.
