Schiavelli was one of those people for whom there should be laws insisting that they become actors. It was more than his look; he was a very talented man and the movies and TV shows will be poorer for the loss of his services.

How could you leave out his role in the cult classic, "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension?" I say shame on you!

This is the world's loss. Schiavelli was one of the finest actors in the world. Every role he played, big or small, he made unique and interesting and he obviously honed his skill and loved his craft. Where's the justice? We are left with such a mediocre bunch of wannabes in the acting biz... and we lose such masters as this far too soon.

Mr. Schiavelli was awesome. He's made many more character appearances in TV than he is credited for. It's hard to see some go who you've grown up seeing on tv/movies. He will be missed dearly. Does anyone know how he got lung cancer or how long he had it for? Since there was no news about it, his passing seemed totally unexpected.
