Last week, Lorne Michaels disclosed to The New York Times that some SNL cast "mainstays" will be leaving at the end of this season. However, the names of the departing cast members will not be revealed until the beginning of 2006. The disclosure was buried in an article about Alec Baldwin's hosting stint, but it didn't go without notice by SNL lovers. So, who do you think is leaving (or, maybe more accurately, being asked to leave)? We've set up a poll that lists every cast member (featured players, considering they're the likely ones to stay, were not included). You can vote for more than one cast member, considering more than one is set to leave. Voiting will close at midnight on December 23. Also, definitely leave your thoughts in the comments, and don't hold back; SNL needs to get better, and who better to figure out what it needs than the fans?

If only it could be all of them, and Lorne Michaels, too.

Hammond has hung around way too long. Try as he might, he'll never be as good (or as well liked) as Phil Hartman. Hell, his Bill O'Reilly isn't even as good as Jeff Richards'.
P.S. Finesse is an idiot.

Since Tina Fey is working on a sitcom http://www.tvsquad.com/2005/12/01/tracy-morgan-and-tina-fey-team-up-for-nbc-sitcom/ for NBC, I think it's possible she'll be leaving.

While I hope all the featured players (the 3 boys and Wiig) stay, it's entirely possible some of them get cut, too. That's why they're only featured, they're in it to see if they make the cut. Just look at Rob Riggle. Might as well add the entire cast.

Please let it be Horatio Sanz. The rest are more or less fine with me but Horatio Sanz has to be the most worthless cast member. He breaks character far too often and none of the sketches that feature him are even remotely funny. Many would say that about the entire show but I think Horatio is far worse.
