If any of ya'll think my woman Martha Stewart ain't keeping it real, check out this quote from an interview conducted this month with BusinessWeek:
"Yeah, we're getting close to which of those inappropriate contestants we are actually going to have to hire. I can't believe people behave like that. They're exhibitionists and opportunists, those kids. I did not choose them either, by the way. I just want you to know I had nothing to do really with the choice of the contestants."
Damn, girl, that's harsh, but I guess Martha didn't get where she is today by being nice, right?

MARTHA IS RIGHT. IT IS LIKE THEY GET IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA AND CHANGE INTO DIFFERENT KINDS OF ANIMALS. PERSONALLY SOME WEEKS I FEEL LIKE SENDING ALL OF THEM HOME, BUT THEN THE SHOW WOULD HAVE TO END.

Hmm..is her version being cancelled largely because she doesn't want those type of candidates working for her?

I can understand her concern over the quality of candidates, considering they are cast more for their ability to bring drama and conflict so the producers can create storylines, rather than actual business accumen.
It seems to me that the majority of people that appear on "The Apprentice" (Or other reality shows, for that matter) have exhibitionist / attention whore issues. How many legit business people would subject themselves to possible humiliation? Not any that I know...

That's what bugs me about trump's Apprentice. He is looking for management types who can handle people and deal with every little problem that comes up. Those type of people are quiet, dedicated, and unflashy folks in my (limited) experience. virtually every candidate is unsuited for that. Professionally, they are mostly involved in sales or law. Most of the time, they are cast because they are "pretty people" who'd look good on TV.
Now i don't know what's worse. That people are willing to demean themselves on the show or that Trump is such an attention whore he goes along with hiring these folks just to get on TV one more time each week.
