How come you didn't mention Quentin? To me, he's always been the most obvious choice. So obvious that I pretty much ruled him out of consideration, since this is Nip/Tuck after all. Other possible, but less likely choices are Gina, who's crazy enough to do it, and Sean, which would be a HUGE twist that nobody would see coming.

I can't remember what happened to all of these characters, and I can't think of what motivation they would have to mutilate and rape people, but I haven't heard them mentioned anywhere else.

-Dr. Pendleton (the fat psychologist that Sean fired in the first season)

-Grace Santiago

-The Columbians (Escobar, Silvio Perez's Brother)

-Any other disgruntled patients, or people disgruntled by a loved one's association with McNamara-Troy?

I, personally, don't think it was Quentin. He's too obvious (indeed, some developments even hint that it may be him), and I don't think Quentin has the serial killer makeup. If it turns out to be him, I will consider it poor writing and lack of creativity.

Producers of the show have said, "there is no way anyone will guess who the Carver is." That only tells me that possibly you haven't met the Carver unmasked yet at all.

Then again, I don't watch this show.

Quentin being the Carver is just too obvious, but judging by the makeup of the Carver (body type I mean) I would thing it would be a male. I don't know if it would be Matt, as it does seem somewhat obvious, and the way that he pronounced the name of one of the drugs that he was getting for Eva makes it seem like he's not stable enough to be the Carver.

Bobbalit is most probably in prison, or dead. At the least we can rule him out completely.

If it were to be a female, there was that Mom in season one or two (I forget) that wanted free surgery for her child, but she got turned away.

Even though I've been watching it religiously, I have to say that I really have no idea about who The Carver is. If I were to guess, then I would say it's Sean.

I think it is the rival surgeon who tried to cut off christian's face. i never an spell his name right, but he's the fellow who is supposedly dead. He has been in every season but this one, has it out for Christian, and had a thing for Krista. He's my choice.

Considering how dramaticly the quality of Nip/Tuck has gone down hill this season, I pose the following question:

What if they reveal the carver and no one cared?!

I'm also with the others.. the early buzz REALLY led me to Quentin until they made him a regular.. if it is revelaed to be him, then it just proves that season 3 jumped the shark pretty darn early..

What about Christian's father? Is that too far-fetched, even for this show?

I'm also starting to wonder if the carver is some minor one-time character that only a die-hard viewer with a great memory would immediately recognize. With all the guessing going on, the writers may have to make the carver just that to surprise everyone.

The Carver is Christian and Sean's longtime assistant LIZ. Since at least the second season, she's always had a thing against beautiful people like Christian. Perfect twist. She acts so kind and caring, no one would realized she's actually flipped. Liz is the Carver; Quentin is the decoy

Jamie, it's Bobolit (mis-spelled it before) that you're thinking of. The only thing is whether he is still focused, calm and cunning enough to pull of what The Carver is doing.

Plus, in my book I'd rule out Liz. If you look at the physique of The Carver, it would suggest that he/she is a well built guy or gal, but with very, very small breasts. There seems to be no sign of there being anything over there, and to be honest, Roma Maffia is quite well endowed. That and that Liz has a lot of hair, which The Carver does not seem to have.

It's a tough one.

I had thought it could be Liz for awhile. Though I love her character, I think if they went with someone we know it could be her. The night before Christian was arrested he had Liz put him under to test the potency of the drug (that knocks you out during operations) they used on the women who claimed to be a Carver victim but cut herself. And also, Liz is the one who put that women under in the first place ( and it wasn't a full dose and she felt everything).
The Carver has a manish build, and Liz isn't super thin like Julia -- plus she could tape down her breasts.
I'm not sure it is even someone we know, but that was just something I had thought about, cause she could have gotten his sperm while she had him under.

It's Quentin. His vocal patterns don't change just because a machine adds harmonics. That ctor speaks in a particular manner...and The carver does too.

I'm convinced the Carver is no one we've seen on the show thus far. It was purely coincidence that Troy/McNemera got involved with Carver victims in the first place. If the writers of the show made it someone with a longtime connection to Sean & Troy then they did a horrible job of getting them involved with the Carver in the first place.

I just want the Carver to attack and kill off that Michael Jackson look-a-like, Matt. I hate that kid...
