MTV's short-lived cartoon, Clone High, revolved around a high school populated by clones of famous historical figures . I thought the show was absolutely hilarious and enjoyed every moment of the thirteen episodes. It was done like an animated teen drama with, well, clones. JFK was the womanizer, Cleopatra was the hot girl, Joan of Arc was the angsty goth, Gandhi was the party animal, and Abe Lincoln was the awkward guy. See? Typical teenage drama... but funnier... and animated...There are still a few things from the show that pop into my head every once in a while, causing me to laugh mindlessly during class for no apparent reason. For example...
Abe: Did you say I was winning?
Gandhi: Straight up, man. Numbers don't lie.
[The Number 4 runs across the screen.]
4: I'm the number five!
Silly, I know. Still got me to laugh in the middle of a silent Physics class, though (awkward...). It was a really great show that developed a great cult following. You can buy the episodes on DVD or catch some clips online. Clone High is definitely worth checking out... After all, where else will you find a show in which Marilyn Manson sings about the food pyramid, Lincoln and Gandhi make out, and JFK cries out triumphantly, "Nothing bad ever happens to the Kennedys!" before his car flips over.

Don't forget the vocal talents of
Will Forte(SNL), Michael McDonald(MADtv),
Nicole Sullivan(MADtv)
and what appears to be Creator Chris Miller's entire family.

God, I loved this show. Thanks for the link to the DVD. I'm going to buy that as soon as I have some cash.
And as soon as I'm done playing with the loose skin on my elbow. And hearing "God" through my braces. And talking to Jesus Christo.

Awesome show ... For some reason, I never got to see the end of the season. Did MTV cancel it before the end?
Anyway...
Amazon.ca has it available:
http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000AABKGI/
And I could have sworn that Digital Archive Project ( http://www.dapcentral.org/ ) had all the episodes at one point too.

Well...being a stuck up douchebag doesn't make it impossible to produce quality work.
I saw three or four episodes of Clone High and wished I had watched more.
Will definitely be checking it out on DVD.

this show is great! I remember watching it when it was new, and i laughed my booty off. Another good anime from MTV that no one liked was Undergrads.

Interestingly enough Cleopatra was apparently not particularly attractive. She was, however, a politcally important polyglot, intelligent, and had an excellent singing voice. I'm not quite certain where the myth of her being beautiful comes from.

This is seriously one of my favorite shows ever...still pissed at MTV for cancelling it. I got the DVD off ebay...sure the quality isn't that great, but it was definetly one of my best purchases ever. And if you didn't watch all of the episodes yet (The ones that MTV didn't air) you have GOT to see them, especially part 1 of the finale, they're hillarious.

I only seem to catch the same 3 or 4 episodes over and over again. Excellent show. Ghandi is the man!
