You know what I would change about this show? The opening credits. Because they show all of the contestants that have been on the show, not just the ones who are left in the game (oh, sorry, Martha says it's not a game, it's a "job interview"). I think they should get rid of the people in the credits as they are eliminated. Because as it stands now, I sit there and watch the opening credits and find myself thinking, "oh, hated him...oh, I'm glad she's gone...he was a jerk...boy, what an idiot he was..."
It's down to the final five, and Jim likes being obnoxious, because the more he bothers people the better it is for him.
Martha is in N.C. and wants everyone to be ready for a video call at 9. She's in NC, setting up the launch of her furntiure line on the West Coast. This week's challenge: create an in-flight video for Song Airlines ("innovative, high class, but low fares"), for their $99 NY to LA flight.
Ryan "is pumped" and asked Marcela if she wants to have fun with him on this assignment. Jim is irritating his teammates with his questions to the Song execs. Bethenny keeps on saying they have to focus on "the big picture." I think all these players have read way too many how-to business books or gone to one too many management training classes.
The films: Ryan is directing himself as a baseball player, and Jim is channeling his inner Spielberg.
The boardroom: Primarius gets a score of 4.2 (out of 5), while Matchstick gets a 2.8. Primarius gets to go to Martha's home to go horseback riding and play Scrabble. (There's a joke in there somewhere but I'm not sure what it is.) Dawna is completely lost. She has never played Scrabble before and isn't sure what words to put down.
The verdict: she dumps both of Ryan and Marcela!

I felt sorry for Marcela and Ryan, but ler's face it, the commercisl was poorly executed.
At least, Martha's letters were kind & sincere.
Incidentally, wasn't it a hoot when Jim called Martha cute & she replied with, "I have never heard a boss called that before!" :)

The more I watch this show, the more I appreciate Trump's version. At least when a team wins a challenge they get a real reward---did Martha learn to play Scrabble in the slammer? At least getting rid of 2 tonite gets us one step closer to putting this one to bed.

Eh, get over it. Martha Stewart isn't Donald Trump and never was. She's not bombastic and doesn't get manipulated in the boardroom by contestants who shout, like Trump does. (Trump seems to mistake volume for competence at times.) But she's intensely focused on quality and unwilling to accept any fakery by people who lost tasks.
And she was limited in what she could do when they were filming this in March and April by the bracelet on her ankle. Spending time with her was the most valuable thing she could give them. Even Trump doesn't spend time with his applicants (or supplicants, or whatever).
Had Martha's version come first, it would have been a hit, and everyone would have watched Trump's follow-up and said, "Man, what a dick." Timing wasn't on Martha's side.

Ryan is OUT and Jim is still in. This is a setup because everyone wants Jim to fail, but he is good for the show. He should have been long gone. Marthat should be ashamed of herself. I was glad to see Ryan and Marcela have fun with their ad even though it was sub par. At least they took a risk.

The best thing about this episode is that Song is already out of business

At least the Donald is charismatic, funny and interesting. Martha is bland, boring and totally generic.

Martha Stewart's Apprentice was the most ridiculous show I have ever seen. Her daughter Alexis is the biggest dope on TV. When she opens her mouth NOTHING comes out and that Charles is nothing but a big blowhard. At least Trump gives rewards. What does Martha give..... a stupid Scrabble game outside. Isn't anyone allowed inside her home. Thank God this show was cancelled.

Did I hear this??
Jim: She's cute.
Martha: Did you say, "The Boss is cute?"
Jim: She heard me? I'm f*cked.
NBC did not Bleep "f*cked." Did anyone else hear this or do just have some obscene ear filter in my brain?

I think the rewards on this show are more in keeping with the MSL concept and lifestyle.
I also think the Scrabble thing was a way of finding out more about the finalists. You can learn a lot about people while playing games. Sportsmanship, stress levels, how they handle pressure, team player, competiitive nature. Heck, with scrabble I'm sure the words they choose have some significance. Dawn was a complete spaz last night. She tensed up, didn't understand the rules, hesitated for a long time before placing a word, got frustrated. Betheny and Jim had a blast and rolled with it. You know Martha was soaking up all those signals.
I can't believe Jim is still in the running. What a character.
