If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That's a motto rarely heard from television networks these days. It seems like they're always trying to monkey with shows by adding big-name guests, switching nights, or just plain canceling the show because they don't get how great it is (AD). But, not FOX. Well, at least, not with American Idol. The talent show is such a ratings behemouth that FOX decided not to change its scheduling. There was speculation last month that Idol might move to Thursday nights, to maximize ad revenue, but FOX decided against that plan. Idol will be seen on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as usual, starting with the auditions episodes of January 17. Now that FOX made its announcement, NBC and ABC can figure out their winter schedules, because who wants to go up against American Idol? There's word that NBC is considering moving My Name is Earl to Thursday nights so it doesn't go up against Idol. And, ABC is supposed to finalize its winter schedule sometime today.American Idol isn't moving

This is crap.
If they're cancelling Reunion. Then put AI on at 8 on wednesdays and thursdays and move the oc back on thursdays.
I think that moving Bones to Wednesdays is going to be bad for ratings. It does well coupled with House, and I know many people watch it simply because it's a decent show, and it's on before House....How many people are going to Tune in when it's Just for Bones?
siiiiiigh.
However, I am glad House is staying on on tuesdays. I like it where it is.

We have to tape the Tuesday nights show...but we try to watch it before the Wed Idol show comes on. It is a time that our whole family sits down and watches tv together. We laugh together and vote between ourselves.
I'm glad they aren't changing it. We aren't tv bums but, this is one show that we make time for! Good Job Fox!

I am so glad that the times are not changing. The girls and I all get together on American Idol nights. We all have our work schedules worked out so that none of us have to miss the show. Thanks FOX!! Tara

I am glad that IDOL is keeping the same schedule. It always made for good conversation at work the rest of the week, too. I loved the show last year, but the year before just didn't do it for me. Hopefully, they will see what worked and learn from experience.
Simon, I love you!!! And Carrie is the BEST! Whatever happened to Bo Bice? Is he doing anything?
IDOL is the only reality show that isn't stupid!!!
