I happen to think this new series on SciFi looks pretty intriguing. It's about a billionaire, played by Sam Neill, who keeps losing his cargo and crews to the Bermuda Triangle. He hires a group of top-notch experts, played by great actors such as Eric Stoltz, Catherine Bell, Michael Rodgers, and Bruce Davison, to research the mysteries of The Triangle. The three-night, six-hour series also stars Lou Diamond Phillips as a captain of a Greenpeace boat who was mysteriously affected by his trip through the Bermuda Triangle. The show will explore all the theories about the Bermuda Triangle, including that it may all be part of a government conspiracy. The trailers for the show look like there are some great special effects, plus it was created by Bryan Singer, who brought us The Usual Suspects, X-Men and X-Men 2. And the actors, especially Bell, Stoltz, and Neill, all have a good track record. I have to say that I'm on board. My TiVo is set for next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. What do you guys think? Does it look good? The Triangle: will you watch?

Yes, I'll be watching this. Bryan Singer made one of my favourite films, The Usual Suspect. And, while I know all of his films are huge turds, I'm a sucker for everything Dean Devlins ! Independence Day is my biggest guilty pleasure!
"And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight!" We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!"

I'll most likely check it out, but I am a sucker for the Sci-Fi Channel. Their marketing department deserves some kind of monument erected in its honor because they can throw together TV spots for their 'original' programing that can make anything look like the perfect blend of made-for-TV entertainment. But then you watch the actual program and cry...

Well since this is the first time I have heard about it, I probably wouldn't have. But now I'll check it out. God bless my PVR.

I always enjoy Sci-Fi's December mini-series, but with all the great science fiction/fantasy material out there why do this piece of B-movie schlock? After great mini-series like Dune, Taken, EarthSea, and Battlestar Galactica why this? I understand you have the creators of Independence Day, X-Men, and FarScape behind the scenes, but still. This has always been one of my major gripes with Sci-Fi: there is so much great material out there, but they choose too often to make crap. That being said, there's not much else on television during December so I have no doubt I'll watch. I'm such a sci-fi whore.
