I thought London was supposed to be a tame and boring town? Apparently, not for the Top Model girls. Things have finally gotten crazy. Crazy...and shocking. In just two weeks, not only have we lost the two girls who I thought were going to make it to the final three, but the two girls with the most personality. Last week, we lost Drunken Lisa...well before her time. And this week, Lesbian Kim got the premature boot. I've never been a big fan of Kim's. I think (at best) her pictures are average. With her pictures, she always leaves you wanting a little bit more. I think that is a testament to her immaturity as a model, but also...why you want her to remain on the show. There is just something about Kim that makes you want to keep her around. Bre claims that she is an ugly person on the inside. I just don't see that. In fact, I'm not exactly sure what I see in Kim. And that's the point. She's intriguing. It just feels like there is so much brewing under the surface with Kim.
I don't feel that with Jayla, Nik, or Nicole. That's what makes Kim's elimination so shocking. Just like Lisa, it wasn't her time yet. It wasn't Nik's or Bre's time yet...but Jayla? Or Nicole? Come on, it's time to send one of those girls home. Not Kim.
Other than Kim's premature evacuation, the other key element of this episode was The Great London Red Bull Fiasco 0f 2005. I feel that this situation is going to go down into the great moments in Top Model history. I brief recap for those who missed it. Bre looks through her groceries in the middle of the night and realizes that someone ate one of her cereal bars. For some reason (she never really explains why), Bre decides that Nicole is the culprit. (I personally would have suspected one of the camera guys, but whatever.) In order to seek revenge, Bre sneaks into Nicole's room and steals two of her Red Bulls and dumps them out in the sink. The next day at the photoshoot, chaos ensues.
Kim (and it was really none of her business) decides to say something to Bre about Nicole's stolen Red Bulls. Bre tells Kim that she doesn't want to talk about it on the photoshoot. Kim persists and somehow Jay is brought into the gossip. Jay seems to take the side of Nicole and Kim because he thinks that Bre is being catty.
Well, of course she is being catty. No duh. That's what young women do when they are forced to live with other young women they don't like. They get immature and catty. They steal food and dump out Red Bulls in the sink. BUT...I'm taking Bre's side on The Great London Red Bull Fiasco of 2005. I do think that she acted hastily in accusing Nicole of eating her cereal bars, but seriously...who cares that she dumped out her Red Bulls? Yes, I know that they are very expensive. But other than that, what's wrong with a little bit of revengeful hijinx? It's not like Bre dumped pimple juice in Nicole's face wash or cut holes in her clothes. She just dumped out her Red Bulls because Nicole was being an annoying little brat. Big deal.
Was it absolutely necessary for Tyra to call Bre out on it during elimination? They've never done that before. A lot of girls have acted immaturely at times, but they never bring that stuff up during elimination. You never once saw Tyra ask Lisa during elimination if she had a drinking problem. Or last week, you didn't see Tyra call Kim out on her being a gossip whore. So why did she call Bre out? That just doesn't seem right.
Plus, I DO think that Bre did a good job at the photoshoot trying to remain professional. Several times during the shoot, Kim and Nicole tried to push her on the Red Bull situation, but Bre just kept saying that she wanted to talk about it later. I thought that was very mature of Bre to do. I think she handled it a lot better than most people would.
But I do think that Bre is slowly inching towards the breaking point. This was obvious during their break while the judges were deliberating and she began attacking Kim. I think that Bre is starting to let her temper get out of control and I think that's going to be detrimental to her in the end. In the previews for Wednesday's episode, it looks like Bre is transferring her anger with Kim to Nicole this week. That's good for ratings, but not good for Bre's chances at making it to the end.

Do you know what you get if you put a bunch of immature, bitchy juveniles together?
Immature, bitchy, juvenile behavior.
Shocker, isn't it?

How bored were you with Bre and Nic's dinner with the English gentlemen...I mean...were is the jumping on the bed, the throwing things, the snickering, the uncomfortable picking at strange and difficult to comsume food. Plus, was it true or did they really serve the girls at some point an entire meal of caviar???
I love the stuff - but...like...one or two small bits, not a whole meal. Really.
Doesn't Bre understand that one less cereal bar is a blessing for a model wanna be. I mean, they are mostly sugar and refined grains - it goes straight to the old bread basket.
Just look at this guy's bread basket - I bet he loves cereal bars, too. http://www.hasbro.com/operation/

Kim's pictures weren't always very good (I don't think that very many pictures of any of the women have been good, actually), it's true, but I think that part of the problem is that they imply that because she's a lesbian, she's a defective woman. Almost every week, the photographer or one of the judges made a comment about her being "one of the boys" (the Wild Boyz or whatever shoot) or getting in touch with her "feminine" side (the pin-up shoot, for one, but there were others). She looked really uncomfortable in her picture front last week, and no wonder; she had to pose like Venus, the icon of heteronormative femininity. Granted, she should be able to rock any picture, but I wonder if she just got tired of the role they wanted her to play.

Tyra and team now know two things from prior contestant's successes:
1. Drunks aren't successful (Adrianne), and end up on reality shows. So, I knew Lisa was out even though she had star potential.
2. A unique face isn't enough (Yoanna), you also need a body and 'the walk'. I knew Kim was going sonner than later. She had face, but, no body, and she couldn't walk. She'd do GAP ads. Not to mention, she played the gay card a little too hard. She brought nothing else.
The two most successful models have had personality, and their looks and personality stood out from the others...even if they didn't win on the show (Mercedes & Eva).
My predition: Nicole is in the finale. She'll probably take it, since she's the only 'Elle Girl' in the competition.
I like Nik.

I disagree heartily that Bre was in the right to be such a, well, bitch. She wasn't professional at all; she deliberately stonewalled Kim to undermine her performance, and, surprise, it worked. She's been touting how holier than everyone else she is and she's not.
I commend Nik, also a dud in my opinion, for not getting sucked into it. When the girls were in the waiting room while the judges "deliberated," Bre turned to Nik at one point as if to gain support for her line of logic (Kim is ugly, Kim won't win), and Nik pulled back. Good call.
And Nicole, being a brat? I don't get it. She's the only remotely energetic person now that Lisa is gone (so she jumps on the bed instead of drinking herself under it, oh well), and she screeches when pigeons settle on her, and this is bratty how? (good call to put bird seed in the bowls- hilarious)
And let's remember, people, who the sponsor is! Cover Girl! Whoever nails the CG cover shoot gets it.

How is it that none of the models remember Tyra reminding them over & over again, "You must be nice to every one all the time?" "You are always being watched." Too many flashes destroyed their short term memory?
All the scuffling and whining over a granola bar. If it was the only bar in the studio for the rest of the week, to split between five models, perhaps. Clearly wasn't the case.
A great example of class...
If Ms. Jay looks any better more feminine, graceful, & delicious, those models are going to be considered 9 to 5 ditch digger material no matter how well they photograph.

I'm so glad to see one or two people disagreeing with what Bre did. Not only was it uncalled for, but it was unprofessional and just showed her true ghetto mentality. Someone wondered why she focused in on Nicole being the one who ate her granola bars. Weren't you watching? She kept saying; "I'm just so tired of her whining and complaining. The bit** is just getting on my nerves." So she assumed that since Nicole was 'getting on her nerves' that she was the one who took them.
I don't agree with how Tyra called Bre out for her behavior, especially when she said remember we're watching everything. If that's the case why didn't they care when the drunk from last season (Brittney, wasn't it?)that mooned herself out a van window! She absolutely should have been called on her behavior.
She chastisied Bre for her behavior and she probably actually believed the tears Bre was shedding was her feeling remorseful. But what Bre did while the judges were delibrating proved she wasn't a bit remorseful. In my opinion, that behavior right there should have resulted in her being kicked off. She was attacking Kim for lying when she lied her A** off to Tyra the whole time.
If Tyra really means what she spouts off about it not being all about looks, and on her talk show about the sisterhood coming together and stopping all the hate, then she should crack down on the girls behavior on the show. What's so funny to me is I actually watched her show where she confronted Naomi Campbell for treating her so bad and was so proud of her for standing up to her. Then, not even two weeks later she lets Bre get away with the exact behavior she called Naomi out on. Seems a little bit hypocritical to me. If I were Naomi I would have been dam* pissed that she let Tyra ream her out like that, then let one of her Top-models get away with it!
I use to have so much respect for Tyra and for the issues she's tackling on her show, but I have to admit I'm basically disgusted and terribly disappointed with her over this and even e-mailed her show telling her so. I don't expect to her back, but I just had to do it.

Indeed I was shocked at the lack of responce to the drunken model that seems to feel quite superior to everyone else on the show. Superficially speaking, and the show IS based on the superficial, the drunken model was the least attractive of all of the models and even more ugly as she got loaded. All she got was NOTHING AS A REACTION FOR BEING A DRUNKEN FOOL ON NATIONWIDE TELIVISION!!!!! HUH?
I was amused at the previous episode where one girl cheated and find the virginal tameness of the stupid question of what secret they had hilarious! Really, I'm afraid of the dark and sleep with a nightlight, how tame can you get. The snotty cheater came accross as a true bitch. Again, nobody deals with this catty behavior, its just GREAT TELEVISION!!!
I'm sorry I've only just discovered this show and can't recall the drunk's name,I'll keep following it though because I love Bre the super bitch, hate Kim the goody two shoes. Of all the young women on this show the two snottiest (although the cheater was right up there with Bre) Bre & snotty Kim are the names I recall.
Bottom line, I'm hooked, the show is a brilliant concept, sex sells and your show is a goldmine!

Its kind of sad that the pretty token gay girl was eliminated. Yeah I know she was always sticking her nose into all of the dramas (& I personally didn't see her as NOT BEING FEMININE ENOUGH!!!) God I got so sick of that critique of her more than twice. This young woman was one of the prettiest "wanna-be-butch" I've ever seen. Is having short hair the only criterior needed to qualify as masculine? Most of her shots were truly mystical. She should've never been eliminated. I'm pretty sure they'd never let her win (being so "gay" & everything) I think IN TODAY'S MEDIA A GAY WINNER IS IMPOSSIBLE.
