After dragging yourself out of bed and fighting the traffic and crowds down to Herald Square to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the last thing you want is to be attacked by a giant balloon. Unfortunately for two onlookers this morning, that's just what happened. The incident happened at the corner of West 43rd Street and 7th Avenue at 11:30AM this morning. No immediate reports on exactly what happened or how serious the injuries are.
Macy's big parade was last marred by injury in 1997, when windy Thanksgiving weather caused a balloon to go astray, seriously injuring an onlooker. See, this is why I'm glad to watch the parade from the warmth and safety of my own home, through the warm glow of my television screen. Well, that and easy access to snacks and the bathroom.

The title reminds me of the days when Fox ran all the high-speed car chase shows.
