It's all over for Sidney Bristow in May 2006. ABC says, instead of winding down, it wants Alias to go out with a bang. The network is promising a big finale to wrap up this, it's fifth and final season, but it doesn't really reveal exactly why the series is coming to an end. Was it ratings? Jen Garner's pregnancy? If there's a bright side in all of this, maybe Alias creator J.J. Abrams will have more time to devote to messing with the minds of Lost fans.[Via tipster Charles. Thanks!]

Well, they haven't canceled Threshold, but it's sad to see Alias go. I mean, I guess its time has come, and it has been on 5 yrs, but it's a show I really looked forward to seeing it.
Hopefully they can end it in a big, satisfying way (*cough* Vaughn alive *cough*).

Yah, I think the likelihood of ABC cancelling Threshold is pretty slim. :-)

WHAT???!! HOLY CRAP!!!! Alias cancelled? Cancelled? Is it cancelled or ending....Yahoo is reporting it is ending not being cancelled...
What a rollarcoaster ride this show has been - I really thought it would go for 7...there isnt enough for synidcation now at 5 is there? Or just enough?
Do i have to troll the gossip rags to hear what the reason for this is? Jen wants to be a stay at home mom? Push forward on her movie career? Who decided that it was time to end it?

Thank GOD! Alias is one of the most overrated shows in TV History.
5 seasons to many (which makes it 110 episodes so it's good enough for synidcation)
Next on cancellation wish-list: Joey.

Ever since midway through Season 3, this series has been a shadow of its former self. And I think its no coincidence that it happened when Lena Olin broke away. I kept watching the show because of SpyDaddy (Victor Garber) and some of fun, brilliant guest casting (i.e. Ricky Gervais, Gina Torres, David Anders, etc.).
Still, five seasons is no small feat. The Rambaldi storyline was wrapped up, last season, and I think this show has told every story it's going to tell.

Eh... the show hasn't been as good this year especially with Garner being pregnant. Even last year if I missed an episode I didn't care too much. Lost is my show now...

Sigh, I was hoping Sid would die in child birth and Rachael would have been the prime focus of the show.

A show that is a lot better than Alias is 24. Its has some spy action and a lot of gadgets. The writing is infinitely better too.

Sy, 24 is not a show about a spy...Alias is a show about a spy.
CTU has nothing to do with spies and there's not really a lot of gadgets either...

Alias got super stupid after season 2. Season 2 was bearable. 3 and 4 were pathetic and now season 5 I had to stop the season pass on my DVR because after each episode I asked myself why I kept watching. I love Jennifer Garner, but I could not handle the show anymore.
