What's better than last week's A-Team references? Well, nothing really. But Indiana Jones, Back to the Future and Transformers references are a very, very close second. Tonight was another great episode of Family Guy. I can't believe that this show was actually cancelled at one point. Maybe there's hope out there yet for Arrested Development... On with the show! After accidentally tripping Lois, Stewie rediscovers the joy of causing his mother harm. He does some soul-searching, and rededicates his life to the eradication of his "birth giver". Lois, wrongly concerned with her son's behaviour and not her own safety, talks to his daycare teacher to try and discover the problem. She shows Lois some disturbing pictures, and they come to the conclusion that Peter isn't in any of them. Actually, they were all of Stewie playing out different fantasies of killing her, but let's keep our eyes on the prize. Lois tells Peter that he must get involved in his son's life, but Stewie and Peter can't find anything they both like. That is, until they realize that Lois + pain = haha.
Their hijinks and manslaughter-esque attitude lasts until Lois can't take it anymore, and Peter backs off. Stewie is absolutely heartbroken that Peter takes her side. In an effort to regain his love, Peter takes Stewie to DisneyWorld. There, Stewie is abducted and placed inside the *ahem* Tiny Tiny World exhibit. *Disclaimer*: WIN, TV Squad and most importantly Ryan j Budke take no responsibility for that song getting stuck in your head from reading this review. A worried Peter finally finds him, and he frees Stewie and all the other kids imprisoned for our amusement. This garners the attention of the arabian overlord of the ride, who immediately pursues the dynamic duo. What follows needs to be seen to be done justice, but it's a recreation of the famous mine car chase from Temple of Doom. And it's superb. After a final confrontation with Michael Eisner ("Cover your heart"), Stewie and Peter escape home.
These episodes keep getting better and better. The parts with Chris and the old man reached an all time low for me last night. I'm pretty sure it gave me nightmares. Hearing that whispery old voice sing "Somewhere that's green" from Little Shop of Horrors was way scarier than any man-eating plant I've ever imagined. Let me know what you think.

What was the conclusion of the Chris/Dirty Old Man storyline? I don't remember seeing anything after the "Somewhere that's Green" song.

Holy crap - this whole episode did it for me especially the "Somewhere That's Green" sketch because it was so unexpected and that's one my favorite movies (camp value, strictly). That and the Peanut Butter Jelly Time; I was on the floor when that happened.

I'm pretty sure that episode had the most pop-culture references spanning the longest length of time and resources.
That was freakin' hilarious!

the disney stock ride is just the Enron ride of broken dreams. minus the, "mmmmm.... that's good satire"
don't get me wrong it's hilarious, i'm just wondering if anyone else noticed.

I knew the Stock ride looked familiar. But FG did it just as well since it was more of a background joke. On The Simpsons, the writers are so afraid people will miss each and every joke so they bash it into our minds. FG is more subtle which is where Simpsons fails. Guys, you don't have to point out every joke! We get it! Kudos to Family Guy.
I loved the whole Indiana Jones thing Especially Eisner falling off the cliff.
Did they ever point out the pedo-old-guy's name before? If not, I do believe this is the episode where they give him a name.
I loved the song too. I'm assuming it is indeed a reference to Little Shop of Horrors. (The musical with Rick Moranis, not the black and white version from the 50's.) ENORMOUS 12" SCREEN!

Speaking of the *Simpsons*, why did it take almost two years for them to have a "California Governor's Recall Election" spoof? Talk about tired plot device.
