How did Lisa Loeb get talked into this? She is starring in a new reality dating series to begin airing in January on E! The show is called #1 Single (yes, we get it) and it follows Loeb around as she returns to New York and single life. I'm not sure if she got divorced or just broke up with someone. E! says Loeb is relatable to women-of-a-certain-age who are trying to balance a professional life with finding a lifelong mate. Plus, she's quirky and cute. Loeb says she's doing it to "connect with people on another level". I was surprised to see Loeb in a reality show because celeb-reality seems like a desperate attempt to return to the spotlight. She always struck me as a folksy, feminist singer just out of the mainstream. But, being the independent woman that she seems to be, maybe she'll be doing woman-kind a favor by representing herself as a respectable person who looks for a significant other in a decent way. Last I heard she was with Dweezil Zappa. They had a show together on FoodTV called "Dweezil & Lisa" I guess they are no more.

Yeah, the cooking show with Dweezil kinda fizzled out after they broke up. But, seriosuly, is Lisa that desperate to find a guy? She seems to be the only woman that just about every guy I know universally lusts after. Including me...
Maybe she's more desperate to stay in the spotlight than get a man. So, here's the dilemma: you meet Lisa Loeb, cute, bespectacled girl of your dreams, at a party. She likes you; you like her. BUT, there's a camera, microphone, and lights following her wherever she goes. Do you go on a date with her? Or just forget about it?
