Frank Spotnitz, the creator of Night Stalker, confirms on his website that the show has been canceled after airing only six episodes. It seems as though the rest of America agrees with a certain TV Squad blogger who just can't stomach the show any longer. Last week's episode got a measly 3.94 million viewers and ranks as the least-watched show on all of ABC. I gave this show a try because Frank Spotnitz, formerly of The X-Files, created it. But, I couldn't even get through the first episode. No official announcement yet from ABC.[Via The Futon Critic]

Well even though I liked the first few, it went downhill right after...I was going to drop it from the last episode anyways.
Stuart will find new work - he was the best thing about the show.

Hopefully they'll replace it with something that will attract viewers (even if it's a rerun of Lost from the day before). Maybe the cancellation will give Alias a boost.

Maybe if they didn't schedule it against CSI and The Apprentice, it would have had a chance. This show was done even before it got started.

I liked it. I'd rather have it on than another edition of Law & Boredom, CSI, or Stargate - Your Mom. Not to mention Alias, Lost, Invasion, Threshold, and Surface.

Stuart Townsend was excellent in this show and I had never really heard of him before Night Stalker. I could not stomach Gabrielle Union though. Calling her a "skeptic" in her role would be giving her credit in her acting in the series. If they had gotten ANYONE else in that role I think the show would have stood a better chance. I watched every episode and wish they could have made a change or two rather than just pull it out of the lineup.
