Looks like we're all going to have to stop hitting Kirstie Alley while she's down. The star of the recent Showtime series Fat Actress told Oprah yesterday that she has lost 55 pounds on the Jenny Craig plan and intends on losing another 20 to 30, bringing her down to her Wrath of Khan-era weight.

According to Alley, she wanted to spend more time with her kids, and wanted to cook more. However, she continued, "the bad decision was — and this is the dumbest decision I've ever made in my life — it went like this: If a man really loves me, he will not have to love me for my body. He will really love me just for me. ... When did I decide I was a big fat girl?"

I'm gonna miss those Kirstie Alley fat jokes, though. Don't know why; I'm not a svelte man myself, but just the fact that the formerly rail-thin beauty let herself go to such an extreme made her look as normal as the rest of us.  Oh, well. Guess all we have left is to hope Tyra Banks puts on that fat suit again.
