Eddie Steeples plays the brilliantly laid-back and earnest Crabman (aka Darnell) on NBC's My Name Is Earl. While he hasn't appeared in too much in his short career (really, he was in Torque?), many people I know are constantly asking me, "Ryan, where do I know him from?" Well, faithful readers, scratch thy head no more. Eddie played "The Rubberband Man" in Office Max's hilarious ad campaign from earlier this year. Office Max has opened a website dedicated to the character, where they have all the ad spots and even some behind the scenes from the commercials. Funny, funny stuff. And the best part? In one of those commercials, you can see Leslie David Baker, who later went on to play Stanley on the Office (US), playing, apparently, Stanley in an Office Max commercial.

I believe that Baker actually appears in three of the Rubberband Man commercials--the original "Rubberband Man," "Lost," and "Found." Check it out here--http://steeplechaser.blogspot.com/2005/04/is-it-just-me.html.
