Spike TV has laid out somewhere north of $60 million for the television rights to all six Star Wars films, beginning in 2008. The deal will allow the network to be the only cable outlet for the three recent prequel installments, as well as the new home for the original trilogy, for six years. As the article states, the original trilogy has been on various cable outlets before, but having the whole package lets them bundle the entire saga and promote it with marathons and other special airings. Oh wait. That second part never happened. So, on second thought, you settle down. It was just a small editorial comment with a little humor thrown in. Nothing more.

I deny this was a mistake and instead point to the liberal commentators who are out of control and want to criminalize the writing process.

Do you suppose Spike TV will air the DVD version of the classic "Star Wars" trilogy, as well as the prequels, by 2008?
