Good news and bad news for The Shield

ShieldFirst, the good news. Recently it was announced that the next season of The Shield would be extended to 21 episodes, eight more than any previous season. Woohoo! Well, actually, not so fast -- now, the bad news. It seems likely that those extra eight episodes may be used to wrap up the series, making season five its final season. Actually, while I love the show and will miss it dearly, I'm very happy to see that they'll give it a proper sending off with those extra episodes. At least we'll all get to relive the show over on Spike TV.
