Public Lost chat this Wednesday night

lost2We've done the Lost chatcast in the past, but why restrict all the fun to just us TV Squaders? Join us on IRC this Wednesday, starting at 8:30 PM EST, and discuss the show. For now we'll be using an IRC channel as a chatroom, though we hope to have something more dedicated in the near future. Just connect to the irc.worldnet.net IRC server and join the #tvsquad channel. If you don't know how to use IRC, it's actually rather easy to use. Read on for more information.

You can download any one of a number of free IRC clients listed on Wikipedia. For Windows or Linux, I personally recommend X-Chat. For Mac OSX users, we recommend Colloquy.

Once you have the software installed, choose a unique nickname for yourself (it would be best if you kept the same nickname you use on the TV Squad comment boards). Connect to the irc.worldnet.net server either via the server list provided by the client software (though it may not be listed) or by typing (without quotes): "/server irc.worldnet.net" in the command window.

Once connected, you can join the #tvsquad channel by typing "/join #tvsquad". That should do it! We'll be taking quotes from the chat and posting them to the site later that night.

A few rules: If you're a jerk and become disruptive, you'll unfortunately be kicked from the channel. Also, please don't use a nickname with "TVSquad" in it - those will be used by the TV Squad team. If for some reason something goes wrong with the chat, check back on the comments here for updates. Have fun!
