So now that Apple is one step closer to total digital world domination, we here at TV Squad have only one concern: what's on TV? And since you can now take some of your favorite shows with you wherever you go, we were wondering what shows would you like to see the iTunes music store offer? Given that Apple seems to have partnered with ABC, which is owned by Disney, personally, I'd love to see them start to offer collections of old Disney short cartoons. I'm not talking about Darkwing Duck or The Rescue Rangers or any of that ilk, I want some of the old "Donald in the Army" or "Mickey, Donald and Goofy go camping" type cartoons. They'd be a perfect fit, since you could knock one out in a few minutes. Sell a collection of them for the normal $1.99 and break each "episode" up as chapters in an enhanced podcast. Genius! Why don't I work for Apple? Hey C.K....Watercooler Talk: What shows do you want to see in iTunes?

Highlander and Nikita please.
I would also say Babylon5 and Buffy, if I didn't already have them on DVD

If they are really smart, they'll find a way to put football highlights in the iTunes store.

I would LOVE to see HBO offer some content, even at a premium price. Especially CYE.

Why stop with just HBO? I would love it if all of the premium channels offered up some content. I love Rome and CYE but I also love Weeds over on Showtime. It gets pretty darn expensive to have all of the premium channels, so just dish the shows I want to watch and I'd be a happy camper (hopefully, will some extra money in my pockets).

Tony, I love that idea! Every Monday they could post a recap of Sunday's games and a preview of the Monday night game.

The obvious connection is "geeks to computers to TV". The choice must be Star Trek in all its incarnations. Millions to be made.

PBS. "Frontline" and "Nova" especially. Many a time have I missed an episode that sounded good, or come in 2/3 of the way through a re-broadcast and been frustrated both at what I missed and that the only remedy seemed to be the purchase of a $30 DVD. "Frontline" already has several full episodes available for free as streaming video on their website, so $1.99 for the chance to download it to my hard drive for convenient viewing at a later date doesn't seem like a bad deal for them, either. (Just that much less to ask for at pledge break time.) Think there's any hope in the fact that Apple was one of the corporate sponsors of the Bob Dylan "American Masters" doc that aired a few weeks ago?
I'd also second (third, fourth, fifth, or whatever we're up to now) the call for HBO series, in part because their seasons are short and their DVD set prices are really, really high. Especially for shows like "The Sopranos" or "The Wire," where even if you've been watching from the beginning the dense storylines and huge casts of characters can become overwhelming.

The football thing is an excellent idea since once you take away all the downtime, the games only end up to be 25 minutes or so.

I've never really considered an iPod. Any iPod. A video iPod with a crummy screen and no widescreen least of all. But if they would start releasing all the original Disney shorts, I would go for it. Especially the Goofy "How to Play Footbal" and other sports cartoons.

Smurfs!!! (that one's for you, Cam)
The Price is Right! (Dane Cook is a genius)
I think any cartoon will do well, as it makes it an instant distraction for the kids (and by kids I mean anyone below the age of 50, like me!) on car rides. I also think that shows in syndication would be great, cause then you don't have to watch them in order (like you would definitely have to with a new show).

Whose Line Is It Anyway could be a very good show for "short trips" that the vPod could be used for. I know some amusement parks already license out the show and will show a couple of skits at a time on the tvs while people are waiting in line.

Family Guy or any other adult swim programming would go over so well with the teenage crowd (apple's most targeted demographic)

The new Dr. Who series from the BBC. It is the only reason why I used Bit Torrent. If i could get the shows here for $$$ I would gladly pay. But i would want higher resolution than the iPod resolution. I would happly pay $4.99//episode.

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Alias show up on the iTunes music store within the next couple of weeks. I'd love to see a deal struck with Cartoon Network, get some stuff for the kids and some Adult Swim episodes on there. It'd be great.

A cool thing would be subscriptions to some of the daily news shows ala video podcast. Imagine getting up in the morning and watching last nights Daily Show or SportsCenter on your iPod during your morning commute (assuming of course you don't drive) or at lunch.
