This is why I gave up watching Invasion

InvasionThe Boston Globe has a piece that speaks directly to a lot of us: there are so much TV to watch nowadays but so little time. So we have to be choosy and strategic about the shows we watch. The number of shows we're willing to surrender ourselves too and get involved in.

I watch a ton of television for TV Squad, but I watch a lot of television in general anyway. This year there's so much on (and often at the same time - damn you network execs!) that I had to take a deep breath and say to myself, "OK, that looks good, but I just can't watch it." So I've decided not to watch E-Ring or Commander-in-Chief (I watch The West Wing and that's enough political/military drama for me right now). I've decided to watch Martha's Apprentice but not Donald's (that wasn't hard to decide, actually). I'm watching Alias and Survivor on Thurs at 8, so I'm skipping getting involved in Everybody Hates Chris (which pains me). I don't want to get involved with Criminal Minds (another serial killer investigation show? Eh), and Reunion just seems like a lot of characters/plots/years to keep inside my head with everything else. And after watching the first two eps of Invasion, I've decided to put my energies into the other alien shows, Threshold and Surface (though who knows if the latter even are alien-related or not).

Basically, I can't wait for some of these shows to be cancelled so I don't have to worry about them anymore. Heh.

So what have you made a decision not to watch this season? Any new shows that look promising to you but you just can't make the time for them? Any old shows you've given up on?
