And she did the entire wedding and reception for only $40! Damn, she's clever.
The Food Network host and author (she hosts 35 shows on the network and has about 27 books out) married John Cusimano in Italy last weekend. Congrats and all that.

I feel sorry for you. I think she's a great host and chef. And she's really easy on the eyes too. *rawr*

You must not have seen any recent episodes! (For the food or her looks...works either way.)

I agree with Megan, but I'm sure her husband knew what he's getting into. She's much too perky and annoying for my tastes.

I think that Ray is providing what the public really seems to want: fresh home-prepared foods that are diverse in range yet relatively easy to prepare. She has been sucessful because she has her chef's knife on the public's pulse - I can't find fault for that. I also think that Ray has reinvigorated the "art" of home-cooking - certainly that is true for me. In this era of dangerous obesity, Ray's emphasis on mostly healthy meals and variety in food choices is refreshing and her style of preparing foods is accessible to all. Having tried many of Ray's recipes, it doesn't seem to matter whether they take longer than 30 minutes to prepare to me - the end result of having different and pleasing food in a reasonable amount of time is a huge help for me. So, I wish her luck with her new marriage - I'd predict that there will continue to be many more creative projects beyond the "30 Minutes" fame for Rachael Ray. Obviously, she is a skillful, hard-working and talented woman who has captured the "kitchen-conciousness" in a very large and perhaps very important way.

I wish her all the best with her marriage and with her shows. Her 30 minute meals has added new menus to our home that are good and easy. And for those of you who don't like her perky personality, change the channel. To each her/his own. I think she is great and I will continue to watch her shows.
