So let's see if they can keep the quality of the show up from last week. Yea... nope. It was still a funny episode, but as well as Family Guy embraces it's raunchy humor, and walking that fine line in much the same way that South Park does, American Dad always seems to go just a step too far with it's stupidness, outlandishness and political views. Now before you all start writing to tell me it's supposed to be a satire about right-wingers and their views, I know, I know. It's just that it seems so forced and it's punchlines are done better and funnier in about a dozen different venues, most notably, Jon Stewart's brilliant The Daily Show. Anyways, on with the recap. The show starts with Roger watching the Simple Life: Life Without Parole on Fox (nice). Hailey accuses Roger of just sitting on ass his all day and they start throwing down. Steve comes in with a permission slip for Stan and Francine to sign so that he can take Sex Education. Stan protests with Steve's principal and his suddenly put in charge of teaching his own "morally upright" version of Sex Ed, giving the kids a choice. When only Steve ends up in his class, Stan seems content with keeping Steve as sheltered as possible. Showing Steve a propaganda video about masturbation from the 50's. It scares Steve and Stan shows him that these urges can be overcome by simply "finding a hobby", and in showing Steve the ancient art of woodburning, Stan's "hot dog" is fried.
Meanwhile, Roger has taken Hailey's words to heart and is going for his bartender's degree, and opens a bar in the attic of the Smith residence. Stan finds out that applying his prescribed ointment brings him pleasure and repeatedly... "applies the ointment" finding a new hobby. He keeps his dirty shameful secret from his wife and more importantly his son. Steve in an effort to repay his father for scarring him for life, starts doing his father's chores and in one horrifying moment of cleaning the gutters, discovers Stan's dirty little secret. Grasping for straws to avoid consequences, Stan trys to find someone else to blame and sure enough, what's on TV? The Simple Life. And the enemy is Paris Hilton's ass.
Stan uses his connections at the CIA to be put in charge of all TV programming in his hometown and so begins the
I wish they could have found a way to keep Klaus funny like last week. This show has it moments, but it just doesn't do it for me like the rest of the animation block on Fox. I think it should probably be in between The Simpsons and Family Guy and it may hold my attention a little longer. The jokes seem too forced and aren't anything we haven't seen before.

Yippie, an episode about masturbation. I'm being sarcastic. I didn't enjoy this one. Last weeks kick ass episode totally set me up to think it was getting better. I hope this one was just a fluke.
