I'm not sure if it's just me or not, but this was one of the more predictable episodes of The Closer so far this season. It wasn't even the final solution that was the worst part of it though, it was the plot in general, Fritz's involvement in the case as an FBI liaison, and so on. Has "formula" entered the way this show is put together, or is it just a passing phase? In any case, we got to see how Fritz and Brenda would work together when the case crosses federal and local lines, and it's pretty clear that Pope definitely doesn't get along with Fritz one bit.

"L.A. Woman" as a title is kind of comical, in a way, as the woman in question seems to be the wife of a murdered Iranian businessman, who will only speak to Brenda as she is not to be alone with another man who isn't her husband. For those of you who were paying attention during the credits, or recognized the woman's face that was almost covered by her traditional garb, Marina Sirtis played the role of the widow. As it turns out, she ends up wanting to be a bit more Western in nature than her husband prefers, which leads to the solution to this crime.

Along the way, we're treated to Flynn helping out Gabriel on the case, and see that Gabriel is either a good poker face, or is truly not pleased with his position of favor in Brenda's squad - Captain Taylor gives him a bit of an interrogation, but Gabriel states that he knows who is friends are. As it turns out, Brenda and Fritz probably shouldn't be working together, the FBI ends up stealing away with those involved in the case (go figure), and our heroine always gets her man - or woman, as it were.
