The additions to the cast of Alias continues. On the heels of Rachel Nichols and Elodie Bouchez joining the ABC show, now comes word that Balthazar Getty (Lord of the Flies, Ladder 49, Judge Dredd, Feast) will come on board as Thomas Grace, a new agent assigned to APO.
All of this either means that, 1. J.J.Abrams is changing the direction of the show again; 2. Jennifer Garner won't be doing much because she's pregnant; or 3. the rumors that Michael Vartan is leaving the show are true after all. We'll find out what's going on on September 29 when the show returns.
Update: Holy crap. While doing some research for this story, I found out that Getty is actually part of the band Ringside, who have a cool little tune I've been enjoying lately, "Tired Of Being Sorry." Small world.

Yeah, but the casting sheets for this role, and Nichol's were going around LONG before these Vartan rumors started up again (as he pretty much is rumored to leave every summer)

yes no one can replace Michael Vaugh in alias. I really love Michael Vartan. I hope that when Syney's character in the upcoming season is pregnant, i hope that the father is Michael Vaughn an no one else!:)

Bathezar is the Project Green Light Failure. Doesn't anyone get that Vartan is the father of Garner's baby and that is the story. Reality is always stranger than truth. Everyone is quiting because of moral objections, regarding Garner's and Affleck's behavior, have outweighed the Disney wallet. Mickey Mouse kidnapped Vartan's child, a candadian child, from its father. No wonder Canda hates America and I am certain they will have a special treat in store for all the parties involved in this special little event. That is propecy six. NSA can't be involved in these pathetic loser's lives. Affleck needs to go to Betty Ford for a decade and Garner needs to ge to a convenant to find God and a few morales. Notice God is never mentioned on Alias. It is a vacuum of decency. Anyone worth having has left the show as Garner is a self spoiled brat that lacks the maturity to ever be a handler. Alias is project green light now. One rotten apple to spoil the bunch and in this occassion two.
