According to a survey of 2,000 adults, Homer Simpson's eating habits set a bad example for children. I would add that his habit of ramming crayons up his nose, falling off cliffs, and getting shot with a nailgun are also unhealthy. Frankly, I'm surprised every child on the planet hasn't been eradicated by Mr. Simpson's irresponsible behavior. The contestants of Big Brother 6 were also slammed for eating unhealthy food. There may be some validity to all of this, but I'm not sure fictional TV has ever really advocated healthy eating. Homer Simpson's eating habits bad for kids

This and the change in Cookie Monster (to singing "A Cookie is a Sometimes Food" really annoys me. Can't children be trusted to understand what healthy eating is and isn't? And can't parents take responsibility for how much food they bring in the house or let their children have? Ultimately, if they don't do so and still don't like Homer, which is not even a children's character, they can turn the TV off.

Insert appropriate Simpsons reference here : When the Flanders' are babysitting Bart and Lisa, and Rod and Tod get to see Itchy and Scratchy for the first time.
"Daddy, what's that red stuff coming out of kitty's ears?"
"Thats....uh....strawberry jam!"
"Daddy? Should I hit Todd with an axe like mouse hit kitty with an axe?"

Nonsense...only bad parents make bad children. Does anyone notice, that it are mostly fat parents, that create thesame eating habits by their children? If a parent does not give the right example, how will a child learn then? And to blame a cartoon......that is the same as "ich hab es nicht gewusst..."; just a lame search for someone else to blame than theirselves..you eat healthy, your kids will. You don't; they won't. No-one to blame but the parents.
(by the way, is it co?idence, that these non-existing problems, continually seem to arise in only England, and America? Is it co?idence, that in both those cultures, the babysitter is a TV, and the main-source of food, is Pizza? Could this be a cause....??)
