Jordis gets the well-deserved encore. The three up for elimination are Brandon (who looks a bit cleaned up), Ty and Tara. I was surprised to see both Ty and Brandon in the elimination round. I wonder if Ty's admission of not knowing "Everlong" didn't endear him to fans. Brandon gets "Devil Inside" which he should nail but somehow doesn't. Tara sings "Beautiful Girl" slow and sweet and Ty belts out "Kick." Ty gets high marks for his performance and is immediately saved. Brandon gets lectured for his pitching (again) and Tara gets sent home. Brandon's my favorite because he has the voice and the look but he just can't seem to get it all together. Also as USA Today reported, the ratings for Rock Star have been so tepid that the Monday show has been shuttled to Sunday nights on VH1 nestled in among gems like the umpteenth version of Surreal Life. I'm surprised it has done so badly. While I do think three shows a week is a bit much it's a solid show with genuinely interesting performers.
