Producers of the British drama Holby City have made a bet with one of their cast members to get acting legend Omar Sharif to make an appearance on the show. Actress Tina Hobley asked for six months vacation, which producers said they would gladly give to her if she could convince Sharif to make a cameo appearance. Sharif has been contacted, but nothing is set in stone as of yet. In the meantime, I think regular folk should use the Sharif Ultimatum in their day to day life:
"Mom, do I have to clean my room?"
"Tell you what. If you can get Omar Sharif to clean your room, you don't have to."
"Who's Omar Sharif?"
"Not sure. I think he writes the bridge column."
