Star Trek star James Doohan (he played Scotty) died this morning at age 85 in Redmond, Washington. He had pneumonia and had been battling Alzheimer's for quite some time.
Now let's see how long it takes all the blogs and news outlets to use the headline "Beam Him Up" or something similar.

Already heard ABC radio news do the "beam me up" thing.
Sorry to hear he had been suffering from Alzheimer's, that's a horrible way to go.
I'll be lifting a pint to Scotty tonight and try not to utter any lame cliches.
