The very first director's commentary podcast of Battlestar Galactica's second season is now online - right on schedule.I really enjoyed listening to these when the show's creators started them in the final half of the last season, and am pleased to see they've started from the very beginning of season two.
The podcasts really provide you a lot of details and info about cut scenes and hints of things to come. If they do this all now, can you imagine what the dvd extras will be like?
Why do I have to wait so damn long for them is the better question. I want them now.

The podcast commentary actually showed up in the RSS feed Thursday night. I downloaded it around 11pm PST.

The podcasts are great but in fact are by the Executive Producer who plays a senior writing role, and not the Directors. The main director is Michael Rymer, whose brilliant episodes stand out from the rest (mini-series and "33" come to mind), but I haven't heard anything from him yet.
