Brits are angry at Fox News for what they consider to be callous and self-serving remarks by its on-air (Brit Hume and Brian Kilmeade particular) personalities concerning the London bombings. John Gibson, a Fox News personality, said this: "If they had picked France instead of London to hold the Olympics, it would have been the one time we could look forward to where we didn't worry about terrorism. They'd blow up Paris, and who cares? This is why I thought the Brits should let the French have the Olympics - let somebody else be worried about guys with backpack bombs for a while." Of course, he said this BEFORE the bombings took place, but regardless, tragic incidents such as this requires one to be a bit more tactful. It wouldn't hurt Fox News to apologize, and not because they're right or wrong, but because people are hurting and it's the classy thing to do. Brits angry at Fox News

Apologize!? Come on. France should apologize to us first.
"What is so special about the American dead? Millions have died in Africa, but they never left messages on answering machines since they were too poor to have cell phones."- Radio France Internationale. So just because we have more money, we are less important? Or how about explaining why the French government was dealing and trading with Saddam Hussein ILLEGALLY. France claimed that the invasion of Iraq was illegal under international law, yet they were violating international laws and resolutions passed by the U.N. Security Council. Not to mention, there is overwhemling evidence that France gave intel about coalition forces to Saddam right up to the moment that the war began. Should I even mention the Oil for Food program? France aids the terrorists, hell, Al Bayan calls the leader of France: Saladin al-Chirac. If you don't know who Saladin is, look it up and you will understand why that title is so outrageous for an alleged U.S. ally. To the French I say this: Withdraw your support for terrorists and we will withdraw our comments about your inability to see that crazy Jihadists want all of us dead.
"It wouldn't hurt Fox News to apologize, and not because they're right or wrong, but because people are hurting and it's the classy thing to do."
Question, were we classy when people helped the axis of evil during WWII? NO! Stop the pandering. France is complicit in terrorist actions. This is war and people's toes get stepped on. Get used to it!

Come on you're talking about FOX. That entire channel is dedicated to spewing bullshit and trollish statements to get more viewership and bigger ratings.
I don't see why anyone in the US even watches that 'news' channel and see no reason for people outside the US to watch the crap that channel puts out.

Fox News is nothing but a right-wing propaganda machine. The comment regarding terrorism striking France is despicable. This is a new low for Fox Propaganda.

Hey #1 Jared, Easy big fella. Shouldn't you read the story again before you start spouting about France? Or is it that you think "Brits" means French people?
Oh and yes, Fox should apologize to Britain and France.

Brit Hume should apologize to the Brits. But folks when was the last time France had a major terroist attack? As far as Fox News is concerned they can spread their Right-Wing Propaganda as long as CNN can spread their Left-Wing Propaganda. Listen to both and form your own opinion..

Jared, you failed to answer the question:
"What is so important about the American dead?"
I see countless billions of dollars being mobilized into action, endless news coverage, and tears around the world in reaction to the deaths of 3000. (and before you make some snide remark, 80th Floor, south tower, alive because I was late to work)
But the daily slaughter in countless Third World crapholes goes unmentioned on both Fox and the "left-wing" (HA!) CNN. Why report on countless thousands of deaths when we have live coverage of Michael Jackson and his Magic Pee-Pee or some Missing White Girl Of The Week? Jesus, a demented, headline-grabbing runaway bride got more coverage this year than the thousands who have died from strife, disease and hunger.
Maybe it's because black people don't count.
Or maybe you are just pissed off that the French are pulling the "I told you so" routine as their predictions come true, and the American death toll in Iraq rapidly approaches the 2000 mark.
(and if the French were dealing with Hussein illegally, perhaps they learned that little trick from us, when we pulled the same scam with Iran under Reagan? Shall we apologize to the world for supporting terrorists? Maybe write a check to every Iraqi killed by an American-supplied weapon? Or is there some sort of statute of limitations on how long we get to live with our crimes?)

question to those who hate fox news and state that they do not watch fox? Explain how you all know so much about anything if you do not watch all news channels and evaluate to glean out the best information. Then to alway find fault and condemn without any knowledge or a possible solution to problems is really unforgiveable.

I would really be suprized if the Brits were really that worried about what Fox Says. After all France and many on the UN Security Council is one of many reasons Britian and the US are fighting terrorists in the first place. How soon we forget their selling Iraq MWD infrastructure to help improve their labs during the food for oil program. Hell after our troops rolled into Bahgdad and finding the updated biological production labs that France helped build Most on the UN Security Council including FRANCE could be considerd partners in Sadams weapons of mass distruction program allong with Germany, Russia and China, and some companys here in the US. So for Fox to insult a UN Member nation that helped Sadam under the table and at the same time vote for Sanctions against him. Id say they are the first ones that show they got Balls and call it like it is.
Its liberals and their politicians that keep giving us one more wars to fight! This is one soldier going back for his third tour of duty to the sand pile that says Hooahh! Fox! We will never get the world to love us no matter how hard the Liberals try to beg their forgiveness for being Americans. Its easy to complain and bitch about what conservatives say, Id like them to try and earn their fredom instead of having it handed to him on the bloody backs of US Combat Soldiers! HOOAHH!

Why do Americans always have to be the one to roll over on our backs and submit to everyone else? I feel like every other country can get away with highway robbery, but if we do anything remotely near to what they do or say, we get pounded and stoned and punished in the most unforgivable of ways. Where's the balance? Apologize? I don't think so.
Here's what I think about all the liberals who think America should always be the guilty party:
......Liberals can understand everything except the people who don't understand them.....

I feel so sad of living in a beautiful country like ours with good hearted people that have to pay world wide for the arrogance of beings like the RED right wing FOX! They may think they are right, but the truth is that they are hurting everyone of us by insulting and lying about whoever does not agree with their corrupt values. They even proclaim to have christian values! They inflame the hearts of good citizens and fill them with hate. What kind of balance news is that? What kind of reporters are those? Shame on the REDs who accept and promote this kind of inmoral behaviour in the media. Americans are much better human beings that the RED FOX wants us to be!!

Damn people, I didn't think that I would start THIS hornet's nest. So here we go again...
#4. I can read, you apparently have a problem doing so. Did you read the comments by John Gibson? They are directed at FRANCE!
#8. I think that every loss of life is tragic, even the jihadists pigs; and I completely agree with you about the coverage of the third world and MJ's magic Pee-pee. Coverage of world events is disgusting. We powdercoat terrorist attacks so that we don't offend terrorists, and we also report ONE missing female in Aruba. It's B.S.! Where in the hell is the coverage on the other countless missing women and children in America? Iran in the 80's was a f&^% fest. Installing one dictator to replace another? BTW, why in the hell do you even bring that up? That was a PREVIOUS administration and it was two decades ago? I hope you liberals aren't getting soft on me. Pretty weak counter argument. Tsk tsk. Also, French predictions? I don't give a rat's ass. We all knew people would die in war. Jesus, do you liberals want everything santized. What in the hell do you think war is? A frickin tea party where the sides dress up in military garb and play cops and robbers after the crumpets are all gone? And please don't say anything to me about not caring about the military or something. I'm in OCC for the USMC with hopes to become a JAG officer. HOORAH! Semper Fi!
P.S.- What in the hell is it with the obvious liberal slant on this blog. It's like The Guardian in the UK!

What did Winston Churchill have to say about the koran and islam?
The Koran is the Mein Kampf of war.
Winston Churchill
How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property - either as a child, a wife, or a concubine - must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.
Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die. But the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science - the science against which it had vainly struggled - the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.
Winston Churchill
The River War (1899)
Wake up!
