Finally, a design competition! The teams have to design dresses. The teams are headed by Wes and Little Tommy. Once again, Crazy Jeff is the last picked. This week's invitations are to Hilfiger's party in Soho. Chris and Rob, Deanna and Wes snap up the invites. They are given $500 each to buy outfits. Rob feels guilty for spending money that he should give to his children. In the cutting rooms, Little Tommy dominates the others in making the dresses, deciding to ignore the pattern Princess cut. On the other team, Liz is her usual difficult but driven self, Julie turns up her nose at the idea of any dress that exposes too much cleavage and Jeff generally annoys everyone. At the party, Wes networks with models, choosing one for their fashion show the next morning and this time no one embarasses themselves. In the wee hours, frantic sewing ensues. Tommy H. announces that each group can only pick one of the three dresses they have designed. Wes's team chooses Liz's dress, a sleek blue backless number. Little Tommy's team goes with a dress that looks like a mauve tutu gone horribly wrong. It takes Tommy H. about half a second to choose Liz's dress even though it isn't even finished and has a pin sticking out of it (Project Runway this is definitely not). Now it's time to lay blame and the debate begins between Little Tommy and Princess. Although Jess has done nothing, Shauna was sick and Princess designed the dress, Little Tommy gets the axe. While not the "travesty" Little Tommy terms it, my vote would have been for Princess.

Little Tommy was all "I'm in control of the room" when he was conjuring that monster and when Tommy H hates it he suddenly becomes "just the technician." He deserved to be booted.
The bit where the guy said he should spend it on his kids sounded phony to me.
